What a load of Lemon .

Today I took 240 kg ( 528 lbs & 18 boxes) of home grown lemons to the local green grocer, an 80 km round trip. The C handled it with aplomb.Just put an extra 5 psig in the tyres. The collapsible rear seats are very convenient for this work.Photos attached.

Why not fit the OEM foldable trailer hitch?, its soo much nicer, and above all, totally invisible when not used

why don't use a trailer!

We have just had 7 inches of rain on the Mid North Coast & the trailer is difficult to move on boggy ground. Also you don't achieve 5.8 l /100 km pulling a trailer !

I agree but the MB tow bar does not comply with Australian Towing Standards. Sad but true

Hey Carsey, it is good to see our cars are made to take whatever we throw at em...I actually opened the post thinking I was going to read how someone had picked up a lemon of a C-Class...certainly was better than expected...

lol of course it can handle 500lbs of lemons. have four adults in the car would have been the same thing.

You are correct Glyn .I have had one all my life up till a few years ago but cannot justify 3 registrations & selling my old trusty 1980 504 Peugeot is unthinkable

That's a lot of lemon!!!!
How much did your car lowered with all those lemons?

Mine was pretty slammed after shopping at ikea with around 350lb of stuff in the car. Really love the rear folding seats!!

I did not think to measure how much the springs gave but it was negligable. Our track to the public road is 1 mile long & has a good crown & no bottoming was encounted.

Yes, the folding seats are very useful .Saves heaps from having goods delivered. Do you have shares in Ikea ?
