Zaino Car Products

Greetings,

I have been reading various posts on here and I certainly enjoy them and learn and discover quite a few new things.

I ordered some Zanio "Z7 Show Car wash", and was wondering if anyone else uses any of their other products, they sell car polishes, clay bar etc.

Can anyone vouch or share their personal experience or recommendation for their products?

Are they really that good?

What do you use or recommend to start using?

regards,

Gary

Another round of ICE
No experience with Zaino, but nothing but positive experience with Adam's, both for the products and absolutely outstanding customer service.

I use Z-5, Z-8, All-In-One, and they are all fantastic products - BUT . . . . in order to make any final sealant look it's best, you'll need to have the car blemish-free before applying. Check the detailing section here, or Autopia.org for a ton of info.

I only use Z-9 and Z-10. Even then, I'm thinking of going with Adams or Swissvax for those sections.

That much of a difference?

Is there really that much of a difference in products, or is it more personal preference?

I purchased the Zanio car wash, as I had been using a higher quality brand easily bought at any department or auto parts store?

I wonder if I'll see any difference to warrant the expense, guess I'll see?

Do you experience enough of a difference from leading brands purchased locally?

I think that the answer to your question depends on how particular you are about your car.

For some, they appreciate the difference between a custom-made golf club and a store bought model; for others the "WalMart special" is just fine. For some, playing a Yamaha violin is acceptable; while for others a Stradivarius is the only one to consider.

There IS a difference between the specialty brands and the mass-marketed products - BUT the difference is irrelevant if you are not the type of person who will appreciate it.

I chose Zaino because it is the longest-lasting sealant (according to my personal observations and many others), it looks fantastic, and because it's easy to use.

That being said, you can achieve a finish that is 98%-99% of what Zaino produces using a decent quality product available locally (Meguiars, Mothers, etc). It all depends on how much you're willing to invest (time and $$$) to get a perfect finish.

i have been using zaino for years now and for my last 3 vehicles and have experimented with other products such as all the new nano technology wax/polish/ meguires and adams but none came close.

The nice thing with zaino polish is that the more layers you put on your car, the deeper the color and shine becomes. If applied properly, your car will look a mirror and you would still get beading up to a year from your last application!. I can't really explain it... It's like an awesome lasagna, the next layers just keeps getting better.

i second dmatre, not everybody is as particular with their car as the next person... but if you want one of the best product available out there, you won't be disappointed with zaino. if you are just starting off, just go to their site and they usually sell the starter kits - it will have everything that you will need

I use Z-6 and and Z-16. The Z-16 is the best tire dressing I've used; it leaves a deep satin finish without appearing "wet" and avoids sling-off pretty well. The Z-6 is great for that final touch after a wash.

I used to use leading brand stuff you could buy anywhere on my previous cars and never had any complaints, nor could I tell the difference between the different brands.

However while waiting for my W204 to arrive, I spent a lot of time reading on here and autopia.org and discovered Zaino products. I'm sold. As a previous member mentioned, it layers very well and the shine and the smooth slick feel lasts a long time.

It may costs a little more but I don't go through enough product for the added expense to be an issue.

ADDED BONUS: Zaino smells great, I love walking in to the garage even days after applying it.

I love Zano products, I place my order a bout 2 months ago and have applied 3 coats. -Used the Z-18 (clay bar), then the Z-5 (Polish for scratches and swirls), the Z-6 (enhancer). A week later repeated with the Z-5 & Z-6.
One month after that did Z-2 (Show car Polish) followed by the Z-6.
I was very impressed with the shine and how deep it looked. the best part was when i went to lunch with my wife and parked next to an identical C350 in the parking lot and my wife thought my car was a different color. I am a believer.

One thing I noticed when I was driving a loaner car from the MB dealer last week. The original paint has a fairly muted shine to it. It definately needs a product to get a nice shine on it.
