Yeah I was upset when I heard my navi's voice too.:\ sometimes she sounds like she is yelling at me to turn right/left.
I would prefer the more mechanical sounding voice the acura has but o well! our C>acura anyways in my opinion

Voice accent will cause less grief when it is from country where the car is sold. I certainly would not like an US voice in Australia.

I was going back and forth between the C300, A4 and TSX. The TSX interior was just way too busy for me while the vaunted Audi interior was similar...pretty but in a busy, overwrought kinda way...

Before I got the C, I've been considering the A4 but I decided that its interior is not exactly ugly but way too busy and feels unrefined. for example, the area around the gear knob is a mess, the gear knob is in the way of the ac controls, and the driver's window buttons (left and right are separated) looks and feels like they're from a 10 years old honda.

Our interior is a lot more neat and smooth IMO. at least our buttons are about the right amount and more or less at the right place. Im not a huge fan of chromes, but the interior chrome trims actually give an elegant accent. oh, plus we even have ceramic coated buttons..


my friend said the lady in the gps sounded like a librarian.. but at least she's sometimes polite i guess..

I don't know what Honda/Acura designers have been smoking lately but the quantity of buttons has gotten completely out of control. The Accord, TSX and TL all suffer from the same problem. The material quality is at an all time high but all those black buttons!

I like the Audi design but would never trust their reliability after a pair of problematic A4's.

If I had to shop for a sporty sedan again, it would be the C350 vs the 335d.

But back to the OP topic.... my passengers have commented on how terse the announcements are. Maybe it's a German exactness thing that us gentle Canadians don't understand.

Not only does the Acura system have a more soothing female voice, it also has an option to switch to a male voice. I've always said that the Acura system is more customizable than COMAND.

I agree, Acura's interiors are nice. They tend to appeal more towards the techie consumer (me) as there are a million and five buttons. Buttonitis.
