Deal or No Deal: Salvaged C300 (pics of course)

Are you looking to fix it up and keep it for yourself or are you planning on selling it once it's fixed?
As many others have said, you really don't know the true damage to the car without having it properly inspected by a mechanic and most likely the repairs are going to be costly and when all is said and done, you're still going to have a car with a salvaged title and will be very hard to sell in the future.

I wouldn't do it. It wouldn't have been Salvaged if it was an easy fix and only cosmetic damages. Looks can be decieving...especially on these cars.
For example...I got rear ended in my mom's E350 last year...the rear bumper only had surface scratches that could've been buffed out...but when I took it to the Mercedes dealer they found $2500 worth of damage. Cliffs Notes: don't judge it by visual inspection alone

Consider this....
...you have no experience with car repairs if you believe that low coolant causes no A/C.
No insurance company will total a car if it is repairable
Insurance companies can fix a car cheaper than you can
Stay very far away from this car - it will bankrupt you...

I would stay away. I think on the one hand, accidents like this can really wreck havoc with frame, handing, tracking, etc. It could be many fixes, and then re-fixes, etc.
The second thing is, that if it is "so easy and simple" to repair, why wouldn't the shop do it, get it ready and sell it and make 5-10K on the sale? I personally think that greed would get them to do that, and in this case they don't think it is worth it.
I would figure out how to get the price down, sub 15K.
Figure out what salvaging it out might EARN you. Get it fixed, if it works, GREAT if not, you can part it out as salvage.
It looks like it has the MM no?
