Turn key one notch, wait for service message to dissapear, then press "answer phone" and within a second "ok" on the steering wheel and hold.
Then the service menu will appear and everything is self explanatory.

I did this just now so it would stop saying i need service in 1000 miles, but its not like my old truck where i could reset it again in 1000 miles when the service is really done, should i just take it in for service now so i have my intervals right?

You should service the car when its time for it according to the message in the IC, why reset it yourself?
In the service menu there is a service code that the dealer needs to see what the car wants done, if you reset the indicator the code will also dissapear and the future services will be all wrong.

It may be possible to reset the service code using SDS, ask the tech when you bring it in for service, a service A isnt that bad as it doesnt involve that many additional things.

2010 okay to reset :)
Hi - I have the same issue with my wifes 2010 C300, I cannot seem to get the service menu options to show up. I watched the YouTube video and downloaded the .pdf, but it does not seem to work. Probably operator error on my part, so if anyone can help me, I would appreciated it.

"Thanks everyone. It took me awhile, but I found a way to get around the odometer reset message problem for those who encounter it. (I kept getting it six times in a row)
Get in your car. Close door. Turn ignition. THEN PRESS RIGHT, THEN BACK TO THE LEFT. The subscreen appears at the bottom row. Now you hold the call-answer and OK keys. That'll stop the odometer-reset message from appearing and you'll enter the menu."
Basically all the previous steps are correct in the text/video. The menu should be in "Trip" mode and going turning the key to position 2 then back to position 1 seemed to be the final trick.

I have a 2008 Mercedes C350 with 3534 miles. I have been unable to reset the Service A or Service B warning indicator. Over the years, I have had my car in the shop and the service Advisors have attempted to reset it with no joy. I suspect there is a bad control module, but which one? I had an independent repair shop try resetting it with their computer, but also no joy. It seems to register the warnings, because it used to show the Service A was past due, then it changed to the Service B was past due and now indicates something like 530 days. As I said, no one has been able to get it to go away permanently until the next service is due. I can get it to go away temporarily by hitting OK, but the next time I start the car, it comes up again. Any idea what has to be done to fix it?
