In Mexico C300's are badged C280 so I went with clean look as all my vehicles...

well I left the "Avantgarde" side badge...

although in reality is only a partial "Avantgarde" because MB Mexico does not offer all the "Avantgarde" features in their "Avantgarde" labeled model

For that matter, why don't you put an C63 badge? If you are going for fake, go all the way.

This reminds me of the ordering option in Germany for the guys who want to buy S180's, (that is right, S class with 180 engine) and they elect the 000 option, which REMOVES the badge.

badges, we don't need no stinking badges!

+1million for debadging. And I totally disagree with the "if it is a true amg c63, then don't debadge". The plain looks better debadged. Period. Whether it be a c300 c350 or c63. The only reason to leave the amg badge on is because while it may look better you lose the "wow factor" of telling the world its an amg. in other words, you'd rather be vain than look good. I say for that reason you're a schmuck and a punk that would rather yell out to the world look at me. Real money, and real class, doesn't need to announce it. After all, who would pull up next to a genuine c63 debadged and mistake it for a c300 or c350? Either you're an idiot or blind, real people know and real people don't need to advertise.

As far as rebadging. Are you f'ng kidding me? Like on the of the middle posters said, hate to be harsh, but but you'd be a liar and fool. And I would make fun of you. Kinda like girls do to other girls when they find out they've been stuffign their bras.

But then again, I will point out that much of the world wouldn't have a clue and you could probably get away with it. Of course, those same people probably wouldn't know the diff b/w a c300 and c350 anyweay, so not sure who you're tyring to impress with that. But in the end, its up to you and you can do whatever the freak you want. Fool.

Agreed! I have not read this post and dont plan to. But if you havent been flamed already, you will. Take the badges off or leave it the way it is. Putting a higher modle badge on it will only say, I need to tell people I have a better car then I really do. Anyone who knows these car will simply think your an ego tool. The C300 is a great car and dont worry about a 350 badge!

Enjoy your car bro.

Debadge or do something original but viable for general audience:

C 500, C 55, C 600, C 66, C 65....

...or get a custom badge like Prada, Gucci, LV etc - haha - a special edition Prada MB will impress the ladies a lot more than any number. Get some embroidered floor mats to match!

C200 Kompresssor
But tell me one thing,

When you remove the factory installed badge, wont that damage the color on trunk? I think the deserted hot regions can not debadge as they dont use 3M double tapes to stick these badges.

I dont like the Kompressor tagged on the right side of the trunk but can not remove it.

Better question, why does BMW use a 335 badge on a 2990cc engine?

Fake Badging BMWs as an M series is a worldwide pandemic.

Any takers? Is it really lying if you are 'downgrading'?
That's awesome.. like spy sleeper. I've got a Carlsson CK35 Badge you can have.

There's a ton of people on this forum that can look at a C300 and know it's not a 350. There was recently a thread of a "Professional Photoshoot of a customized C350" that was called out as a C300 in the first page.

To the OP: I'm glad you didn't rebadge as a C350. It makes all Mercedes owners look bad.. like it has been said, you have a nice car, you should be proud of what you own.

To the OP:
Thank you for restoring my faith in humanity by deciding not to become yet another stupid tool.

De-badging is totally understandable, should be a nice clean look.

I've come across a few re-badged MBs in parking lots, and if I'm not in a rush I'll usually point, laugh, snap a few pics, and post a thread on the W203 forum so we can all laugh at the dumbass.

I'd rather see more legit C63s though so I could point and drool
