so a bit of trouble installing these...

I followed all the instructions A-Z for these but at the end of it all, when i connect the sill to the connector, it doesn't light up. I have the fuse box inside the driver side door panel and made the connections like the instructions said.

I triple checked everythign and all connections are correct per the instructions, yet no light....

help anyone?????

another thing is, on the main wiring harness that connects to the CAN module, there are 2 6 pin connectors (1 white and one black), the white one connects to the second wiring harness white connector with 3 wires going into it. The other black 6 pin connector is not connected to anything. Is this how it's supposed to be???

Please help someone

Thanks!

yes everything seems correct. the black 6 pin connector is for rear illuminated door sills and therefore not being used

Love this writeup...I did this on my other car and trust me...at shows and meets people loved it but were scared to do it, it took me about 2-3 hours I think if I can remember. Now it will be time to do this to my C350.

Can't wait.

Thanks et0609

Has anyone installed a 2011 C63 steering wheel on a 2011 C300. I assume the air bags interchange. Can it be done without setting off any warning lights? Thanks, any info would be appreciated.

does anyone know if the door sills come on when the car is unlocked by key or only when the door is open? I was thinking if I could wire my puddle lights to this setup.

They come on when the door opens. Why do you want to use the puddle lights and not the proper way via the canbus? The set you have is all plug and play with the exception of the power.

I need a way to turn on my puddle lights, I need to find a power supply/when the car is unlocked. I'm not a fan of wiring it to the rear dome light.

I believe the OEM Part number for AMG sills are B66021075. But check to make sure they will work on your model year; there may be a variance.

If interested in OEM, recommending contact these folks in the Netherlands. Wanda or Steve are quick to reply to email queries.

Courtesy lights installed in all 4 doors...

does anyone have pics of these installed? (Specifically difference between colors white and blue)

I have found best price at the following:

http://formymercedes.com/mb_results....20Door%20Sills

Also, I have installed the courtesy lights -- will this be issue?
