OEM C63 PP Nappa/Alcantara Wheel, Shift Knob & Boot + Illuminated Door Sills Install!
Had to wait FOREVER for the 2012 C63 Performance Package Alcantara and Black Nappa Leather Shift knob and boot to come in from Germany... (Easier install than 2008-2011 knob - improved locking mechanism that secures knob without worrying about breaking the teeth when removing)
Installed the 2008-2011 C63 Performance Package Alcantara Steering wheel and bag myself over a month ago with helpful tips from a few people in this forum
The 4 door sills are the aftermarket style (MUCH cheaper and brighter than OEM and you get 4 instead of 2 of them) and were installed by a local car audio shop with about 2 hours of labor and wired to some module in the door sills that controls the dome light dimmers (they also wired my 2010-2012 style mirrors puddle lights easily to this module so they turn on when unlocking the car - no need to go through headliner to get to the dome dimmer!
The door sills are not as nice quality as the OEM ones ($800 vs $200 price) but they still look good and people that see em for the first time compliment and are impressed...
Flash off - Alcantara looks natural black color:

Flash on - Alcantara texture causes it to look Grey but it really is a black color that matched interior pretty well:

New wheel and bag with flash on:

New knob and boot with flash on (looks bad and really grey, but without flash it looks much better and is a matching black):

Boot with Flash off:
Front/Rear Illuminated Door Sills:

Front sill close ups:

AZN Optic Eyelids and sidemarker LEDs with black painted xenon housings, oem matte black painted grill, and 2012 side mirrors:

All in all, enjoy driving much more with the solid feel of the sportier, smaller & flatter wheel in my hands...
The Alcantara gives a real nice luxury feel when gripping it and it also has way more grip then smooth leather...
The Door sills look bad *** when you exit or enter the car, I would recommend them if you are bored with your interior...

Enjoy...great steering wheel!
I'm pretty sure there is a sticky for it at the top. If not, it's in the DIY sticky.
replacement sills go right where the old ones were... a hole has to be drilled under the lip of the upper sill so that the wire can feed into the compartment under the upper sill... dont worry, you wont see it after the top sill is back on..
i had this done by a local car audio shop but this is just my description from watching... make sure u take it to professionals unless you really know what u are doing...
from there, i am not exactly sure how the installer wired it but it definitely is going to the "front dome dimmer" (was what was on my install receipt) without having to be put through the headliner... meaning there must be some control module for this that can be accessed in the door sill...

Just so peeps know most guys that install these jump power from the courtesy light on the bottom of your doors. If you go into the wiring harness at the bottom of each door hinge u can probe and find which wire controls the light and just add a tap for each sill. Then u need only a ground, the light is already fused by MB for you
i can't disclose the wheel and bag price exactly but I bought it from a forum member who gave me a good deal and told me to keep it on the DL

but expect to spend around $1000-$1500 for both wheel and bag... airbag is equally expensive for the C63...
The paddle shifters were deleted and plugged with fabricated rubber plugs to keep the clean look (even though you cant see the holes in the back anyway)
ill try to take some pics of the plugs... but there is no point to pluggin them really as you cant see behind the wheel anyway... i just didnt want to have unfunctional paddles, because I think that is kinda dumb and sloppy...

edit: NM. old wheel, new shift knob/boot
