Door pin plugs installed!
Finally got it done and I'm really happy on how it turned out.
To recap, I bought 3/8" plastic appliance hole plugs from Home Depot (they are used to plug unused mounting holes for fridge handles, etc.). They cost just $1.20 for a pair.
I sprayed a coat of plastic primer and a coat of matte black textured paint.
I pushed the door pins hard with an end of a pen so that the pin/rod drops into the door (this won't affect the function of the door locks). This will reveal a hole with none of the pin visible.
I then pushed the painted plastic plug into the hole. The plug is a perfect secure fit and the edges is near flush with the plastic door pin rings.
I don't mind that the front doors has the satin aluminum door pins while the rears are plugged. You don't really see both at the same time from the inside.

I was driving around town running errands and I don't hear a thing. The door pin rod is still attached to the door/lock mechanism so it's not like it's rolling around in there.
I don't know if this will work for the front as the door pin/rod design is different.
I like the aluminum pins I have in the front so I decided to keep them.

wow that came out looking real good! I need to do this to my rears and possibly fronts. This may sound like i'm asking much but could you possibly make some for me and other forum members? I'm sure a bunch of people wouldn't mind paying for a finished painted plug instead of trying it themselves...well at least i don't mind. I'd much rather not have any door pins.

no, there is a metal structure separating the window and the door panel.
The photos you see above is with the windows fully lowered.
I realized that you could push the door pin so that it sits just under the ring surround, and you could still push the plug into the hole.
