This is why dealers are known as stealership, b/c they dont want to follow proper business ethics and do the work for "free" under warranty and rather put blame on something else and make the owner pay for MB mistakes.

I think I experienced it once in C... but it wasn't as bad as your case. I was off by a street and then it was corrected when i reselected the navi on the menu.

I've just experienced the same problem. Had the car for over 8 months, never had a problem before with the nav. Yesterday, I input a destination and began my trip, then noticed that the directions being shown and announced where all wrong - some of it was quite funny - it showed me driving thru the middle of a golf course when instead I was on a major highway.
The nav system thinks I am at a location about 20 miles from where I actually am, and the north arrow points approx. south-east.
I checked the compass screen and it shows only one satellite being tracked, where normally it would be tracking between at least 6.
I would hate to have to re-set the entire unit, losing my Bluetooth settings and phone book in the process. Does anyone know if re-setting will affect the contents of the hard disk - ie. music files?

How to temporarily fix the GPS system and the Mercedes C350
Reset the GPS on a mercedes-Benz C class 350 navigation
Close your doors put you key to on activate the GPS then type in the code will you hold down END CALL BUTTON and the # and the number one all at the same time. The display should come up engineering mode one of two, the menu will read 1 to 7 but scroll down to number 9 and hit reset so you clear out the last places you travelled
In the Engineering mode 1/2 go to number 6 SW settings, GOTO 6.1 current position. Go to #1 map scroll, find the position that you know you're right example like in front of your house. Push the back clear rotating dial down once. Don't hit the back or clear button just the center button to make an X where you are.
Press the arm rest button one and SET POSITION by hitting the arm rest button once you will see an arrow point it to a known location like NORTH you may want to have a portable GPS with you. That will set you in the right driving direction.
You can now put in your home address and then turn off everything turning the key off and removing it from the vehicle.
Your GPS should be set and working now.
You can check the compass on the car and the compass on the Mirror to make sure you are in the right direction both have to match.
Hope this saves you guys $1,100 but it's only a temp fix.
