Custom SL + Military G Wagon
Was at the MB Service today and saw this heavily customized SL with Gull-Wing Doors plus a military spec G wagon with roof turret (plus 8" ball joints - heavy duty!)

That's what they are called - "up-swing" - not gull wing. I should have known better. Thanks. They opened and closed very nicely and took no more room than a regular door.
That G wagon had no armor anywhere - I think it's old equip used for training at the NATO training area near here.

You're gonna need a hangar of a garage to open those doors. but each to his own. the embarassment and possibility of not getting out of the car in tight parking spots would stop me from getting that mod for practicality. but if we're talking about an actual lambo... now that would be a bit different ;P

It's pretty nice in the center. Even this year every 2009 exotic you can think of are common, many of them lowered with ridiculously expensive wheels. Have yet to see a Veyron though.
IN last few days saw a 2009 Aston lowered - looks very mean and a 2009 orange Lambo convertible - gorgeous. Lot's of Bentlys, Ferrari, Lambo, Maserati - it's a race to keep up with the Jones haha.
I can't believe that guy with the SL left the interior stock - maybe he just finished the body and that's next step.

Those aftermarket Lambo door kits are awful.
To open them you will need to pull open a bit then lift and rotate -- not very efficient nor graceful. It actually takes longer to open and close them and require more force than a regular door.
Those wheels are also rather hideous.

Hope he doesn't kit a pot hole or other road junk because the wheel will be toast - our roads are terrible - I refuse to run anything larger than 17" or 40 series.
