BEST MOD FOR THIS CAR EVER!
The C63 is by far the best mod ever for this car.
It makes the car feel and drive like an elegant go-kart for adults. Worth the price of admission. The original steering wheel feels like the one in our Yukon--thin and large. It absolutely completes the car and makes the driving experience further enjoyable. After all, this is the part of the vehicle you see and touch the most.
I have enclosed a few pictures, including pictures of the Audio Streaming UMI feature which finally works for me (in harmony with the telephone function) after I updated my iphone to the 3.1 software.
One note: although i did not get the wheel for the paddles function, I am somewhat disappointed the paddles do not work. The technician is looking for a way to make them work and will contact me if he finds it. Like VV pointed out in his post, the paddles are metal--not plastic, and thus feel super sturdy. The "click" feeling is very satisfying. I'll let you guys know if we can make them operational. If anyone knows the exact procedure, please post it!
In sum, compared with the stock "bus" wheel--and as noted by VV--the C63 wheel is: 1) about an inch smaller in diameter; 2) substantially thicker; 3) substantially lighter; 4) easy to install--plug and play; 5) a must have.

Thanks!
Yes, the dealer did it for me but did not charge me as a courtesy since it takes only a few minutes to do the swap. You can DIY with the directions Vic posted a few replies above. Now I'm hoping to find the answer to make the paddles operational.

If your car is auto and already have the stock paddles then the C63 paddles are bolt on and should work.
If you dont have any paddles it requires a bit more work and you need to get your car to a dealership.
How much for the paddles at ebay?, I have two brand new for sale.

w204, 11' RR Sport,
I don't have paddles now. I have a stock C350. They are $169.00 on Ebay. Will the dealers add the paddles for me as a option.

Ok, I have the stock C63 paddles in genuine aluminium if youre interested, cheaper than $169 I tell you that.
But does your steering wheel have holes or a base plate for attaching paddles?
If not youll need a C63 wheel or a stock wheel with paddles.

Vic - are the C63 paddlers just a straight plug and play swap for the std black plastic paddles on the C200k auto? Same mounts and everything?
Cheers;

From what I understand, 4MATIC with paddle shift is not technically possible on the W204. We have been trying to spec cars this way ex-factory for Canada with no luck.

I swapped to c63 steering wheel as per instructions. Love the looks and the feel of it. Unfortunately I have the airbag light on now, MB service could not reset the light. They were suspecting that maybe the connector is not seated properly. Could there be something wrong with airbag, it came from Poland? Should I take the car back to service and let them try with the original wheel?

If the airbag was removed with the key in the ignition the light will come on and needs to be reset by dealer.
This is a very easy procedure, if the tech failed doing this the airbag could be defective, I dont think the connectors are causing the problem as they snap into place very firmly.
