This "interesting" thread has got me thinking...
I know my car is not that fast but it does make me wonder what kinda 1/4 I can run with a bare bones, manual trans C300. Anyone know of a good place around ATL that runs 1/4s. It seems all the tracks here run 1/8. I may have to make a trip up to SC one Fri night...

 

ANSWER IS no.

I've got a C300 4Matic and I beat a Ferrari F40 just last week.

 

These aren't the quickest cars on the road, but they don't suck either. Compared to most cars on the road, I think they are really good. I had a the Viper experience, and a lot of fast cars for that matter, and it was great for the 5 seconds that you actually get to use the power on the street. After that, you have to drive in traffic on public roadways. I guess my point is, the W204 is quite enjoyable on the road and in the curves without driving ballstothewall.

C300sport, I agree with you. I'd like to see what I could on the strip. I am a bit curious with this car.

BTW, OP...I promise you your 4matic/ automatic is not the fastest C300. Someone also asked how a C300 can be faster than a C350. With an automatic, it can't. With manual transmission, it is another story.

After reading this thread I was so worked up I decided I had to race someone. So during my lunch break I raced a Viper from light to light and he never got past my rear bumper, for a matter of fact he was always a few car lengths behind. Then again this was on a single lane road and I was first at the light.

why have a 4matic at the track anyway? no launch control, its not an evo or sti...it weighs more than any other C...I just don't understand?

for what it is worth...just like a few AMG "factory freaks" that come out, the day i bought my 300 6sp i raced an 06 330 ZHP with a super sprint exhaust, new cams and timing, 255's in the back (just the ZHP pkg in general adds an extra 12 hp and lightens the car a little) and i beat him by half a car...specs are something like 238hp and 220tq, so he shoulda had me. I've also raced two 350's from digs and beat each one.

I have an SI tune, lowered on H&R SS, an Xpipe and DTM filters...thats it!

beating up on another c class is one thing but any of those other cars the OP mentioned, especially modded will eat his lunch...unless its snowing!

 

So you drive your car hard every day? I feel bad for your car. Who are you trying to impress? BTW, when are you putting up these vids? Your full of **** (14.6 1/4). I have 58 more torques then you and I am about two to three hundred pounds lighter and the best I've gotten on the track is 14 flat. BTW, my friend has your car in stick and can't even get it better than (14.8 1/4). Not bashing other c300 owners, its a great car, but underpowered. It just doesn't have enough pull. Definitely needs and ecu re-tune. Either way this thread is pointless.

Consider this... you've been reading about the c300 in comparison to a lot of cars for a about a year. Then you go to the track and blow the doors off more powerful cars. Conclusion: your c300 is faster than it really is! Fineprint: The other cars were being driven by idiots.

1/4 Mile ET: 15.010
1/4 Mile MPH: 91.110
1/8 Mile ET: 9.692
1/8 Mile MPH: 73.820
0-60 Foot ET: 2.302

 

LOL. It's a C300. AWD isn't going to do s*** in a drag race except slow you down from added weight.

This guys is an airhead. Hes says hes 19 and hes looking to purchase the new e-class 550 coupe or the new m3. Personally, i don't trust this guy on a tricycle. I'm not talking about you, I'm sure your a little more respectful of your car. That being said, theres nothing wrong with pushing your car, as long as you know what your doing.

 

I dont get it, everyone is in an uproar just like when someone new to the forums creates a thread about rebadging his/her car with an AMG logo.

Unless you have clear proof, videos or track results, there is no point of inciting everyone and saying that your stock car is faster than some modded cars.

Is there a financial advantage of a 20,000 down lease for 600/ month/ 2 years?

OK lol i was just trying to see if i have the fastest stock c300. No one belvies me thinks im crazy kid thats fine. But i live in chicagoland area and i am willing to meet up with u and do a few runs on the track or in MEXICO lol so if any of u live in there area and wana run em plz tell me.

YOUR c300s are much nicer and look great. The reason why i abuse my car so badly is because its a lease for 2 years and my lease is ending next month and im geting into a new e550 coupe white with black. I know i sound crazy but i promised videos and ill give u some. if u look in the HHRSS forum ull see my buddy there he will tell u that i have done a total of 5 runs with him on the highway and street. from stop light to stop light i beat him by 2cars easy, from 30 roll its very tough for my car to pull on him till mabye 100. on the highway i did a 40 roll 50 roll and 65 roll. from a 40 roll i would instantly pull on him by mabye 3-4 cl by the time i was at 120mph. from a 65 roll i would not pull on him at all he was actually beating me by a half a car. he has 4 speed auto transmisson, weights 3100 pounds, 4 cylnder turbo 260hp. he has videos his name is erick in the hhrss forum. i prolly beat him from dead stop light because his car was spining very badly, and on the highway because mabye more torque and better gearing. the owner of the 2004 mustang gt lives mabye 3-4 miles away from me and works at the starbucks where i go almost everother day i will make a video of us racing. Im guessing no one drives the c300 like i do but i do know my transmission is having alot of problems and shifts very hard in 1st 2nd gears. if ur doing 30mph and u take ur foot off the gas and downshift to your lowest gear it will put u in first gear at 6200rpm and then floor it it will automaticly shift u in 3rd instead of 2nd. THIS is how i won many races because of the way i drive my car. from a 60 roll my car is very slow imo. stop bashing on me and think im leeing im realy not i jus wanted to know if there were any c300s there were almost as fast or ran similar times
