Help! Stereo lost bass all of sudden!

I left my car in the driveway for a couple of days and drove it today, and most of the bass from the rear became very weak from the time it was started. I don't know what happened. I have a 08 C350 with factory stock stereo, no HK system. My car was a demo model with few options, and one of the first C-classes in my neighborhood. The stereo was pretty good, with lots of bass. Now it sounds like a stereo that used to have a subwoofer with the subwoofer disconnected. When I put the fader to the rear speakers only, there's very little bass coming from them. The bass response from the front speakers seem to be unaffected. The rear door speakers seem to be okay too, I suspect there are woofers in the trunk that are not working right. How can I tell if they are working or not before I bring the car in for service? Taking the car for service is pain in the ***, I'd fix this myself if I can. Thanks!

Where are the speakers in 08 standard audio?

I need to check something and I can't find a manual that says, "the speakers for the standard 2008 C350 are here"... My guess is, the two front tweeters, four mid-range speakers in each doors, and two low-range speakers right behind the rear seats? I am mostly interested in the location of the low-range speakers, because I think mine blew out or something happened with the wiring. I can't tell for sure unless I know where they are located. Thanks!

There is a tweeter/woofer component set in each front door and a coaxial in each rear door.

I thought there were 8 speakers total? That's only 6 total.

Co-axials are considered 2 separate speakers by MB.

You've got to be kidding me. Coaxials are considered two speakers in one? My goodness.

No kidding. I was fine with my standard sound system until I heard my lady friend's TXS audio. Now, I'm into what it would take to improve my system.
