Knob inside the Glove Box?

LOL I just noticed a knob inside the Glove Box that is in placed on the upper part of the box. Anyone know what this for? you can turn it to the left or right.

Thanks!

The reason that vent is there is to keep a bottle of your favorite alcohol nice and cool on tap whenever you need a quick shot in heavy traffic...well that's what my passengers use it for haha

They could have kept the vent...just give me enough room to put my owner's manual in there...

The only car that had a worse glove box that I have owned was my 79 MGB. It was smaller than the W204's (but you could get that manual into it) and it was made of cardboard. I purchased the car new and it ripped before the first year was out. Took it to the sheet metal shop on base and had one made from aluminum and installed it.

Can the shelf in the glove box be removed? If so with the manual fit??

One reason I did not buy an early Altima was because the glove box was large enough ... for a pair of driving gloves. Way too small for real use!

yes, the glove box is too small, but I like the shelf. They decided to includea useless vent, a useless coin holder, a useless note pad holder (which I have yet to find one that fits), and a semi useful pen holder

Try a 350Z... it doesn't even a glove box!

There's a compartment behind the passengers seat.
