Go to your phone book (and before I go any further I'll say that not all phones have this function) and usually there's something like transfer contacts/send business card via message or bluetooth. And then select bluetooth. That's how my sister did it if I recall.

It's a function on the PHONE not the car. You just pair it with the car first and choose the car as the bluetooth device you want to send the business cards(phone numbers/contacts) to.

Received this from my dealer during the week.
Today's update: iPhone updates.
There is currently a software update for the iPhone to version 4.0, we have been advised that this update is causing compatibility issues with the Bluetooth system in our vehicles and will prevent it from working properly. The operation of the phone system will work, although some features such as the contact phone book download will not.
From our information it appears that other European vehicle manufacturers are also experiencing the same problem

I have the 2008 C 350 sport. Irridium Silver Metalic,Multimedia Package,iPod,18" AMG wheels
I just did this, check it out!
Real simple, I just exported 2000 contacts from my Mac address book as vcard, drag it to my PCMCIA slot card. Put the PCMCIA in my car, hit import in a matter of 2 seconds all my contacts transfer over on my address book in my 2008 MB C350.
If you need help on how to it drop me an email, I'll run you thru it, Good Luck.

I don't have a PCMCIA slot, so this was the solution that worked for me.

It is the iPhone. Apple limits the bluetooth functions on the iPhone and does not allow file transfer via bluetooth. Their are third party apps but they only work from iPhone to iPhone, not to other sources. I just used an old Motorola Razr and it works perfectly.
