Tinting My C300, HELP!
Hello all,
I just picked up my new 2009 C300 and I wanted to get the windows tinted. Can I see those of you that have done so, to see the pictures of your car and what % you did on all the windows? Thanks, as I would also like to know what the Stock % is for mercedes benz tint job is?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

I do not have pics but I would say go with 20%. I did 35% (with a Black / Black C300) so my wife would have less problems seeing at night and regret it. 20 is dark enough to look great while maintaining visibility and not attracting problems.

I don't think there is a tint part number from Mercedes. It's certainly not a factory option, and my dealership contracts tinting out. The first step would be to check here:
http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/
To find out what tints are legal in your state.
Second I would find a manufacturer that meets your requirements, having an all black interior it was important to me to find the best solar energy & infrared rejection, but still allowing a decent visible light transmission. I'm planning on using the R40 from here: http://www.huperoptik.com/ProductsCeramic.html
I'll post pics as soon as I can find an installer that carries it in stock.

Before you decide, research a very new product from 3M....Crystalline...very good UV, glare, and heat reduction without loss of visibility. This stuff is very new on the market and was written about in the Mercedes Club magazine...Star.

Thanks for all the help, I have a Black on Black C300 and wanted to go pretty dark with the tint job like 4 or 6%. But here in California you can't tint driver and passenger window. What % could I still tint them and not look to dark or noticeable?

Do they make dye-free tints under 15% ? There's no regulation as to how dark my back windows can be in Germany but I don't see the point of making my back 5% and then having lighter fronts. I'm sitting in the front seat.
