Hey guys---trying badly to find one of the Alcantara shifters that Brabus had phased out. If anyone has a lead on where to find one or has one they want to sell, let me know!

Did you contact CEC? Just because they are discontinued doesn't mean they can't get you one.

the only way you can get one is wait it out till someone with one part with theirs. much better than the leather version indeed.

the only other alcantara/suede + leather knob is the Carlsson shift knob which I sold my Brabus one for.

yeah, you're going to have to wait for a part out, but expect a bidding war as there are lots of people waiting for one.

I don't think they phased it out in Germany, I was just talking to one of the parts guys today (though not the Brabus specialist) and he had a current catalogue, and there were 3 different shifters available. Want me to check if it's still available in Europe when I go back tomorrow?

I'd be surprised if it was available in Europe as Brabus doesn't have region specific distribution list. Maybe they have some left over from their stock and are willing to sell off though

Now that you mention that, can someone in the US check the dollar pricing on getting the center console and dashboard wrapped in leather from Brabus? (installed w/ no tax)

If I can save a grand or more because of currency conversion than I'll wait till next year on that.

The Brabus guy wasn't in again when I went, man that guy has the best job. I'll be back there soon to get my Brabus spoiler installed, I'll keep it in mind since I'm looking for a shifter as well.

got it from Carlsson North America. and yup as Peabody pictured it. although that's painfully hard to see the detail of it.

I went to the Frankfurt Auto show yesterday and talked to half the Brabus headquarters. Yes the shifter is still available, and it's 198 euro. I'll be posting their complete catalogue for the W204 and price list in another thread.

interesting if it is because the part numbers are unchanged between the alcantara version and leather version. perhaps just the left overs of the old.
