How many miles before front pad replacement?
Hey guys,
For those of you who have had your W204's long enough, how many miles did you get in before you had to replace the front brake pads and / or rotors?
Thanks,
Chris
(I'm at 12K and think I need new pads)

Just a little over 24,000 and still on the originals. I'll be going into MB for my Service B and we'll see what they say regarding how much % i have left on those and the rears. I'm most interested in the rears so i can perhaps finally just get the "new and improved" less dust pads yay !

Depends entirely on service & how you drive. Changed ours at 30,000 miles under maintenance plan. Still some life left - had not triggered the sensors. Rotors will go 2 or 3 pad changes until they reach minimum thickness.

Thank you - I am well aware of this fact.
I was asking not because I didn't know that my car would tell me, rather because my car is telling me to replace them and I wanted to benchmark my mileage against other members experiences...
12,000 miles exactly....my right front pad is what is blowing the sensor but is 50% more worn than my front right - wonder what that means, if anything...
Guess I shouldn't have gone to the track two times!
Anyone know of aftermarket pads for the W204? Porterfield doesn't make them yet....

It seems that right front wheel has either a wobbly or warped rotor or the caliper assembly is defective or installed wrong. Your left wheel is your guide, if as you said is peachy q. Check the right rotor with a runout gage, if the rotor is OK disassemble the caliper to see what's wrong. I'd have it seen ASAP and get it fixed. I wouldn't expect you to find two factory defective pads (generally is all four, both front sets).
About pads, I'd go with ceramic street-action, low-noise, long-wear (Hawk, Porterfield, or similar) if you can find them.
Congratulations on your career. What's gonna be? Pure bean counting, or a supplement to your baccalaureate on your way to CEO?
Cheers, JV

I just had my rear brake pads replaced at 26,200 miles... could have waited a little longer but got it done w/the Service B.
