Question All Season tires

It's almost winter time, and it's October. For Germany that means it's time to break out the winter tires. I've decided to go with an All-Season for now in lieu of separated winter and summer tires, so I picked up a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus. I was torn between these and the Yokohama S4 and have been debating the decision (read postponing) and today I get an email from TireRack.com that I'll get a $70 rebate for the Michelin, which about evened them up in price, and I think the Michelin looked nicer so I pulled the trigger. Does anyone else run all season tires? If so which ones do you use?

Another round of ICE
Same tires here....outstanding for three seasons, but I will swap for Blizzak WS60 in the depth of the Michigan winter. Haven't tried the A/S Plus in the deep snow, but I wouldn't want anything less than the Blizzaks.

Since you are in Germany, why don't you look at the current edition of Auto Motor und Sport (from Stuttgart) for their annual winter tire test.

I was surprised that my Nokian WRG2s were NOT the best, after all. And they are terrific in snow, wet and on dry pavement.

I have been using the A/S and the A/S Plus. They have been awesome tires, high performance and long lasting.
