New key now available for 07-09 models

Noticed today that the "old" key part number is replaced by the new 212 design key, so if you order a key for your 204 today you will get the new one, at least here in Europe,
again do not know if this also applies for the US market.

They look nice indeed. Anyone know the part numbers for it? Does it have to be specially coded for each car or something?

Did they correct the issue with the valet key? When you remove it there is no loop to hang it. I understand the older key had the tab that sprung into place to form a key loop.

Cannot see the problem, how often do you remove the blade key from the fob?

removed the blade key on purpose as I put more valuable stuff in the glove box which I lock up prior to valet. Not so much to remove it from rest of keys (which I don't keep with MB key anyways).

No offence but I dont think valet park attendants are smart enough to figure out that there is a manual key inside the fob.
Let alone figure out how to get it out

you're not in LA where every other luxury car is either a w204 or e46 :p After so many, they pick up on the details

I've had valets say "the old key didn't have this problem" on multiple occasions.
