Its that time again, everyone is asking that question again. How are the 4matics in the snow? Well here is how my car did, oh and it had the summer tires on.

How was the car to drive in the 2 inches or so that seems that fell?
Those are 18s also correct?
I am interested to know, because I want to do 18s with GOOD all-seasons and leave them on year round in north jersey. I never really have to drive in unplowed roads or 2 inches max most of the time.

Im not recommending anyone do this. You still want your car to stop. I had to be very carfull when breaking. So that being said I would recommend good winter tires always. As for all season tires.... its said that they should be called NO season tires. Not great in the summer or winter..lol. Ya you will be fine but keep in mind its one thing to make a car move in the snow... completely different to make it stop.
Drive safe.

Ya they stayed on all year. The 4matic was awsome, but I had to do some smart driving. I plowed though side streets by feather the gas pendel and keep the momentum. You also have you keep the tires in other paths from the cars before you. As for braking, well the 4matic cant help much there. But you can use the gas to provide power to keep control of the car. Im planning on getting a set of winter tires this year. Im very excited to see how it will do with the right tires.

Nothing I couldnt plow with the front....lol, I would seriously consider plowing with the front end ONLY in fresh snow. You dont want to do this after the snow has iced over, you can damage the chin. So if your not sure if the snow is soft....DONT DO IT!
