C300 - running hot
Anyone else's running a little hot? The gauge reads normal, but as soon as we crank the car on after a full night's rest, the fans start blasting and can't help but smell the coolant. No lights are on and temp reads normal.

Check below your car after it's parked for a while, make sure there isn't any green residue on the floor. If there isn't, you should be safe (the coolant light usually will come on way before your car loses too much coolant).
If you just had your car service recently (or your coolant flushed), I know sometimes some left over coolant can be spilled around the engine area. That may need to be burned off.
Good luck!

Thanks Yogi, I already checked the most obvious stuff - the car has 1200 miles on it so no service yet. Just started getting a little worried because the fans kick on high right when I turn it on

The fan should not do this. Just watch the temp gauge. Report it to your dealer. Sounds like a faulty fan temp sensor.

My experience is that you don't have to have but a very small leak to smell antifreeze burning off.
Lift the hood and look around. Its a greenish liquid.
