Dashboard Trim

Has anybody add trim to the dashboard around the the air vents, knob controls and the radio/bluetooth buttons? I found this place http://www.dashkitmall.com/index.php...oducts_id=3558

They have the complete kit for $94.95 and they say they can match the finish.

You should find out if they actually use the wood (doubt it) or if it's just stickers that look like it. If you want to put stickers all over your car go for it, but I wouldn't spend $100 on them.

I wouldn't do it. I think it'll look like shlt if you match the actual dash pieces from the factory with the stuck on trim kits. You'll be able to see it's not all the same and make the car look cheap...IMHO

I just bought the glovebox trim from them and the quality is outstanding. It is a perfect match to the existing trim. The service from them is excellent as well. I had it delivered to my door in 3 working days.

i also bought the glovebox trim in black birdseye maple for like 67 shipped...

WELL WORTH IT!!!

Looks totally factory and is a perfect match with the exisiting oem trim

also well rounds out the interior and puts wood trim on what was previously a vacant space that desperately needed a wood accent (glove box)

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE GLOVEBOX WOOD TRIM FROM formymercedes.com

i will post some pics when i get a chance

I sent the link to Brabus to try and pressure them into doing the same installation for the same price on the wood. It's good to hear great reviews from the people who've bought it.. Normandie4life, did you get the dashkitmall set or the formymercedes set?

I just ordered the glove box trim from formymercedes.com and I also inquired if they will just sell me the center air vents trim. I dont want the ones for the left and right air vents.

I requested a product sample of birdseye maple, and they asked me for a photograph, then told me they can not match it.

I just got an email today saying the same thing, but is also not real wood. Just like PEABODY and NJBNZ said in the previous messages. I will get the one from formymercedes.com that is real wood and they have it on birdseye maple.

Here's another seller of that trim kit here in Germany. It's about the same price individually, except the center console is $647 from Schatz, and $825 from Formymercedes, a $175 difference.

Probably just a function of the lighting. The match on mine is perfect.

It's the camera color sensor. I've seen that browning effect on dozens of pictures of the birdseye maple trim, both OEM and aftermarket.

Yeah, the camera is playing tricks. The color match is excellent. The wood pattern is very good too. When I first got the piece I help it up against the wood trim on the door and it matched well.

Here are two more photos, one close up of the wood pattern and another of the trim in day light.

I think it looks okay... the shape doesn't flow with the interior.
