Kindle Hack?

Searched and found no mention of the Kindle, so figure I'll venture into this uncharted territory.

Anyone have any ideas on how to make your Kindle work with the iPod cable (or other, better means?)? I've noticed the space in between the seat heaters (on the center console) has enough space for one to cut-out a space to slide the Kindle in to recharge, but how bout going over the speaker system?

Thoughts?

The Kindle is Amazon's Ebook Device.

OP: you're probably not going to find any information here as I don't know of anyone who has done it. Heck, I work in the IT field and I know of no one that owns one. You're going to have to pioneer this yourself.

How would that work... Does Kindle read aloud to you?

Correct.

My wife has one and we haven't found battery life to be a problem if you turn off the wireless network when you are not using it. No real need for a car charger.

Agreed, battery life is good, but if I'm doing a road trip, or would like to actually *hear* the Kindle read to me (over the noise of traffic) through my speakers, then this would be a fantastic mod...

I'll research and see if I can find anyone that's been able to do it and report back with any findings...

I don't know about Kindle, but does it have an earphone jack? Can it be adapted for use in the AUX input? It might need an amp, like the iPod did before the "fix", but that could be an easy approach.

It is a new venture indeed... Kindle has headphone jack, why not just buy cable and connect via Aux to Audio? No hack required.

My Kindle "reads" to me everyday in the car. I just use the AUX jack with the amp.
