Question WHOAH! Talk about posing... Are these really Genuine MB Accessories for the C Class??

See attached PDF. It looks like some Mercedes Dealers are selling these Genuine OEM MB accessories for the C-Class. The brochure almost makes it seem like they want you to slap AMG all over the inside of your normal non AMG c class... Check out the PDF... AMG exaust tips, AMG floor mats, AMG door sills, etc... All from an original MB looking brochure that I have never seen before...

For instance, they have upgraded chrome door pins that look OEM. I currently have the carbon fiber door pins with the MB logo on the top that I love, but I only have these for the front and really could use a good plug and play solution for the rears.. Would these work for US models, or do these only work in Australia, where this thread with this brochure was originally posted from?

Say AMG is to cars as Ralph Lauren is to clothings.

I can wear genuine Ralph Lauren products all over myself and there's no problem with that. but if I make a name tag with Ralph Lauren as my name, then most people will probably think I'm an idiot, a poser.

It's probably best we don't start with threads with the word "poser" or "posing" anymore. Just a thought.

Seems to me the only douche bags that care are on these forums. According to Mercedes my car came with an AMG kit. It didn't come with a AMG "type" kit. I could care less if someone puts AMG badges/parts all over their car. Is it posing if you put a C63 type grille, c63 type hood, c63 type lights, or dual exhausts on your car? If I followed the logic on here I would have to say "YES!!" I really don't see the difference between putting an AMG badge or C63 grille on your car.

The douche bags rule on here and Mercedes, with their accessory brochure, is officially KING of ALL POSERS promoting poserism on the W204 forums.

God Bless Mercedes....

Dang, rb23... you're a stress ball over this AMG/poser/not stuff! This same debate goes on w/ the Bimmer crowd as well. You can order the M-Sport pkg that has ///M logo'd sills, sport steering wheel, shift knob, etc. The factory doesn't slap the ///M badge on the trunk. However, there are plenty of people who do buy the badge and put it on the trunk. At the end of the day, forum members and enthusiasts are a tiny fraction of the general car-buying public, so you naturally get an imbalanced response. Always go with what you personally like...

I'd personally get different door pins... real AMG, fake Brabus, whatever as long as they were metal. Anything's better then the stock plastic ones. One of mine even has an uneven plastic nub where the mold didn't break off cleanly. Why they made the rears not an easy twist-off is beyond me.

Last page says it's an Australian-printed brochure and is rather new... good from Nov. 2009 until Dec. 13th 2009.

rb23, give it a rest people are going to think you must have some traumatic childhood issues over posers or something. On a side note, those door pins do look nice.

ya it would be way awesome if we could get some nice OEM original door pins for the rears that didnt require any modding or wouldnt come off if pulled to hard...

Can anybody find the part numbers for these OEM original upgraded c class door pins????

If a catalog exists, there must be a part number

Sorry but I don't see your logic.
If you go back and look at my posts you'll see that I recently bought a set of AMG wheels for my slow *** C240 (which of course say AMG on them).
There is a huge difference between buying AMG parts (which is perfectly fine!) and slapping a badge on your car that says "this car is an AMG, it has an AMG engine in it" just to lie to people. Your car has an AMG body kit because that body kit was designed by AMG - this makes perfect sense. But your car does not have an AMG badge on the back because it is not an AMG.

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
The door pins are available now so be happy about it.

It would have been nice of them to offer factory darkened tail lights.

No, we get door pins.

I replaced AMG with C63 grille.

By the way you're one of the douche bags I've been referring to. LOL!!!

Dude - let it go...

Weren't you the one with the stupid thread on the AMG badging calling yourself a poser?

Bringing our attention to the fact that there are varying degrees of posing does not change the fact that most of us think that you are the ultimate poser. You are trying to rationalize your own actions by bringing more stupidity into the picture (look-up cognitive dissonance).

This is your third thread relating to this nonsense since you asked for an onslaught of personal bashing - third strike, you're out.

And by the way, don't confuse your recent failure as a member of these forums with the quote in my sig as a personal achievement on your part...

that sucks, if you get a c63 and they make AMG Original mercedes doorpins that fit the w204, they should come with it already instead of those cheap plastic POS pins
