Winter Tire PSI???? C350 4matic
I installed the 17", 225 pirello sottozero winter tire set on my car from a MB dealer.
I am trying to determine the correct pressure for this set? Is it the same 35, 38? I've asked a few delears, but keep getting different answers.
Maybe even if someone has a c350 4matic (2008 or later) with 17inch wheels, the psi should be similar.
Thanks!!!

The new 17" winters are 94 xl. This is the same load rating as the 18" rears, so the required pressure is the same. The fronts are now 94 xl's, and take less pressure than the 92 xl's .... 33 vs 35 psi.
So new pressure is 33F and 38R, vs 35F and 38R with the 18's. This gives the same tire load ratings as before.

Wondering if the weight factor between the two cars (c300 vs. c350) makes a difference
Kevink2, the winter tires on mine are 91XL, does that mean they should take less PSI?

Which is the size tire (Continental) my car was factory equipped with and you can take a look at MY B-post label below. Production date was 9/07.
I've tried a few different pressures, and not 100% sure about them.
Anyone by chance with a C350 or C350 4matic, and 17inch 225, non-staggared?
If so, kindly let me know the recommended PSI you use.
Thanks, and thank's to all who have responded.

Your other quote ...~ Mercedes says 28/33 psi for all oem 17" 300 lux" ... is then based your B pillar info? Based on my pillar plate, all would be 30/35psi. Our build date was 5-08 in Germany.
Our B pillar plate info:
-- Part# A204 584 6817 (placcard)
-- max added load (peeps+cargo) 815 lbs ... your pic shows a close 837 lbs
GVWR's, lbs
4672 Total
2358 Front
2391 Rear
Based on the owner's manual, all c300's with 17" rims (incl staggerers) use 91 SL load rated tires. My guess woud be our car is heavier ... we do have 4matic + ATX, and fold down rear seats, but not many other options. What's your GVWR's, also onB pillar?
---------------------------------------
Usually, car makers calc the front and rear Gross axle weights based on a federal formula, and use this load to select the tire load rating and design pressure, as well as the performance needed. I was using the op's 18" B-pillar info to determine this design load, and then check charts to see what pressure is needed on a 17" 91 SL rating to meet this load.

and you car came with the 17inch tires, stock?
225 front and rear or 225 front, 245 rear?
Kevin,
My c350 4matic came with 18inch AMG wheels, so my bpillar said 35,38.
My confusion was after installing the 17inch 225 front and rear winter tire package
