could it be the auto-corner fog light that turns on each individual side as you're turning?

I bought a pair from Crappy Tire instead they sell Eurolite H7 bulbs there. One I got is Eurolite H7XB Plasma its brighter than the yellowish stock bulbs. Just wondering if I should return it and go to P Mall and get eurolite h7 5000k cuz mine doesnt say 5000k.

As someone with no car-modding experience, I would like to emphasize that you should take EXTRA CARE in removing/inserting the lightbulb. Having nails help - I accidentally broke a bulb replacing mine and will have to go back and get another pair tomorrow. The 5000K ones at pmall are $22.

Do you still remeber the store's name? Yah bulb sitting pretty tight but I use butter knife and took my time prying one side then the other.

The luxury is still an H7 I believe.

Regardless, how in the world would you even change the luxury H7s without taking off the entire grill? I see no way of entry to the bulb via the wheel wells...

I have purchased and installed the Phillips Diamond Vision bulbs and the color temperature is perfect but I wish the bulb wasnt so blue during the day, looks a little cheap to me. Other than HID foglight conversion, is there a bulb that has the same pure white color as the Diamond Visions but without the ugly blue bulb? I have seen chrome coated amber bulbs and would think there should be something out there like that for H7s.

Thanks for this DYI. I went ahead and replaced the fog lights with GE nighthawks.

I did noticed however that the driver side glass fog light housing cover is worn out compared to the passenger side. Can this be replaced as a DYI?

Thanks again

You would need to replace the entire fog light assembly, which goes for about $90. It's a pain to install without the car being jacked-up by the way.

Also, be sure to get the correct fogs if you do decide to go this route -- the ones on eBay may say Sport (if that's what you need), but they are indeed Luxury.

Maybe you could use a restoration kit or something?

yikes thanks for the info. I guess eBay should be avoided for this part. Before I head over to the stealership, I'll try a restoration kit since the glass is not broken but is filled with micro pitting. Strange that the passenger side looks nothing like the driver side.

Cheers

So I went out got myself some white foglight bulbs to replace those ugly yellow ones. I went with the Eurolite Xenon Fusion. It's a 55W bulb with a color temp of 5000K.

It was very easy to do and took less than 10 mins. Here are step by step instructions with pics:

1) Open box containing lightbulbs

2) Undo 3 screws using a Torx 15 screwdriver (Pic 002)

3) Remove mesh foglight panel. This should just fall out when you've removed the screws.

4) Reach in and give the bulb housing a good turn (clockwise for passenger side and counter-clockwise for driver side). I found that you may need to use either your left or right hand to get good leverage on turning the housing. It can be a bit tight.

5) Carefully remove the bulb from the foglight assembly. What I did was use a paper towel to protect the bumper as well as prevent the new bulb from getting dirty. (Pic 003)

6) Disconnect the bulb housing from the wire. (Just pinch both sides of housing to release the clips)

7) Slowly and carefully pry the bulb from the grey housing and reinsert the new bulb.

8) Reinstall by connecting the housing back to the wire, and then reinserting the bulb into the fog light assembly. Make sure you line up the grey tabs to fit into the fog light assembly slots. (Tip: Mark one of the grey tabs with a pencil so you know where it goes when you reinstall) Press all the way in and give it a good turn until you can't turn anymore. Verify your work by making sure all 3 tabs are fitted into the slots. A flashlight really helps. (Pic 004)

9) Reinstall mesh covers. Don't tighten the screws too much otherwise you may break the cover.

That's it, your done. No more ugly yellow lights.

I also included two pics. Pic 005 shows with the Eurolite bulb passenger side and stock bulb on the driver side. (My camera sucks so the pics don't do it justice. Believe me, they do look good, and the light is bright white).

Pic 006 is a close up of the Eurolite bulb in action.
These instructions don't say how to align and and then turn for re-install. Can you be more specific?
