anyone got these reps in et44?

Hi guys,

ive just joined. just Purchased a w204 c200k se in black, with a 6 speed manual!!! ;-) only done 21000 miles...looks and drives great. pick it up next tues! woohooo cant wait.

im already looking at replacing the standard 16" rims for these:

they are 18" 8j et44

can some one tell me if these will fit ok. I am looking at fitting 225 40 tyres on the front and 255 35 on the rear?

but i am not sure if the 8j rears will take 255 tyres? if so will et44 be ok?

all help welcome....thanks in advance

I can see them now! They both look really good, but the 2nd one looks better.
Actually, a few people do have the 2nd set. They're Avant Garde wheels.

yeh i'm considering getting the 2nd ones.

Richard im not sure that they are made by avant garde as these are 18" 8j and et44. and according to avant gardes website they only do thenm in 19".

other than the actual design of the wheel can someone tell me if et44 will be ok on a w204 please?

and also if it would be possible for me to put 255/35 tyres on an 8j?

+1 for the second ones can't give you the answer about et44 but the 255 tyres should fit on 8j

ET44 will be fine. Think about doing 235/40 up front and 255/35 down the back. The wheels look similar to mine.(1st pic)

thanks for the info guys....i would put 19s on but i have a set of 18" tyres vitually brand new doing nothing in my garage.

two goodyear eagle f1's 225/40 or 45
two dunlop sp's 255/35

my main concern is if the 255 would fit the 8j rim and if it would cause any ruybbing issues.

They will fit OK. Here is a pic of mine with the same size tyres, albeit my rears are 9".

I have the second ones on my car. They are the '10s SL63 wheels. I bought them from PowerWheelsPro. Excellent service. The car looks good! See the last post on this thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...estions-2.html

Thanks alot buddy. Never knew you were from Melbourne. Which area you located at? I'm only doing my degree course there at the moment and back to my hometown in Brunei for my holiday now. Car is actually located in Brunei so most of the mods can only be bought online. Aftermarket products here are very very limited and hence resorting to getting most of my mods online.

thanks guys, spoke to the supplier again yesterday and it turns out they are 8.5j wide so the 255's will be fine...just wondering if the 225's will be too much of a stretch now lol if so i might change the fronts for 235's as suggested.

however they do not have them in stock yet and eta is 3weeks. Will post pics as soon as i have them fitted along with the sport grill.

thanks for your help. much appreciated.
