C-Class facelift is March 2011? That can't be right? I thought the spy photo articles said it was coming out this summer?

Where did you get your information from? I read on Insideline that they quoted someone at Daimler saying that by 2011 ALL 8 Mercedes-Benz models will become turbocharged? If that is true then your information is incorrect. Source?

I'm not sure what you are asking me? I was referring to the US getting the LED lights in the lower part of the bumper. We shouldn't see that till 2011 stateside.

Yeah but i'm referring to the LED lights as being part of the facelift, and the entire facelift should include new engine options aswell.

So basically i'm asking where you got your information from when you posted that list because if it's official from Mercedes-Benz then the new LEDs and engines aren't coming until 2012, which contradicts what's in those articles.

Europe already has the facelift since January of 2010. There are members on here that ordered there cars that way. Part of the Intelligent Lighting System package that we don't get stateside. No clue when the new engines are coming though.

Yeah I know they get things earlier in Europe and the Engines situation isn't really relevant to them because they already have the direct-injected engines and plenty of turbocharged engines.

I'm just worried they're going to hold off the new engines and i'll have to wait even longer to order the new versions.

I was thinking about waiting till the end of the year to order one but then I thought when the turbo goes thats really gonna suck for maintenance. Don't know if you would keep the car that long but when the kompressors blow for the w203 I've heard maintenance can be a biatch.

Oh I totally agree, and I prefer NA in general. They said that they are going to keep the NA 3.5L V6 and that would probably be the lower-end engine of the range, and that's why i'm anticipating the refresh. In all likeliness horsepower is going to go up for each model to be more competitive and I definitely want the new engines if that's the case.

I wouldn't trust insideline. Just look at their info. They say the C-Class Coupe will be targeted at the successful BMW 1 Series.

First of all it would compete with the 3 coupe, not the 1...and the 1 is definitely not a successful model.

I agree, which is why I was asking what his sources were.

Their article may not be correct - it probably is based on their own assumptions. However, if they got the technical info from someone at Daimler then the basic details could be true?

It's possible. I def wouldn't be surprised if MB went the turbo route. I hope they really do make a $40k C-Coupe that would compete with the A5 and 3 Series. I would've been all over that. The new E Coupe may be based on the C but it's still kinda big. They def have room for a smaller/sportier coupe in the lineup.

IF MBZ were to build a C COUPE with a sedan body style, NOT C COUPE/Hatchback would be sick!!!

like what BMW did with their 3 series.
they have the 3 sedan, and the 3 coupes, which kept the sedan body style but shorter and two doors...not coupe hatchback..make sensE?

Yeah that's what I meant...a true A5/3 coupe competitor.

When can you start ordering 2011 C classes, around July? Or is it August?

Normally late July or August from what I know. However if the engines are coming out late this year then it's possible they may delay it until October or November - a bit like how when the w204 came out the 4matic option was only available September-October.
