black roof film

Has anyone used a black plastic film on their roof? I saw it on ebay and it looks pretty cool.

Grand total...after ordering vinyl...and installation...98 dollars. Which I didn't think was bad at all.

Azn, do you know if these guys ship? How hard could it be to just stick it on your roof?

IMO, thats a great price. I don't know why, but I was assuming that would cost $250+

I know this is a stupid question, but this wouldnt affect the factory warranty would it?

yeah, john will ship. Just tell him I sent you and he'll hook you up. If you're doing it yourself and you have no experience, you have a decent shot of screwing it up by either creasing the vinyl, mis-aligning, or slicing it wrong. It's not brain surgery, but I large pieces can be tricky to work with, especially working around central cut out if you have a sunroof.

Rapsteady...not an official answer..but I highly doubt it would void the warranty. Don't see why/how it could as it comes off as easily as it went on. Its a night and day difference though..from all angles...def. worth it.

Alright I'll keep that in mind thanks, do you know if he sells CF covers for the interior? I have the Luxury, I wouldn't mind covering the wood, thanks

yeah, he's got the good 3M CF material, but he's also sourced a new CF material that he's currently playing with. One thing that we've found that's VERY important that everyone should be aware of, IF you use the 3M CF material and ever decide to rip off the material for lease return or just plain bored of it...the adhesive pre-applied to the 3M product WILL damage your finish. As such, you should only apply it to something you pretty much want permanent or wouldn't be expensive to repaint. If not, you're better off getting CF fabric without the pre-applied adhesive and get a milder spray adhesive.

You can either buy it from him and wrap yourself, or remove the pieces, ship to him, have him wrap it, and have him ship it back, but if you're comfortable enough removing trim pieces, you might as well wrap it yourself.
