Meisterschaft exhaust installed doubts

I have just installed the meisterschaft exhaust system on monday and on the outside sounds nice but i feel like it's not at the 100% could that be for a leak of air down of the welding not being at the 100% and from the inside sounds a lot different like not that roaring from the outside is this normal or is it just in my car?

thanks hope anyone could help

it needs to break in so give it like 500 miles and the tone will sound different if you dont mind me asking how much did you pay for the catback?

....the inside will obviously be less loud than outside....

Your MB has built in sound dampening in the body to lower outside noise. Most of the sound coming in is from the spare tire well which is closest to the exhaust and only a thin piece of plastic. As suggested, give it a few hundred miles to break in to eventually settle on the final tone.

I am loving my Meisterschaft! Sounds perfect! If only i could help the interior drone, but sadly i do not have Dynamat or quality sound insulation materials readily available!!! Not complaining nonetheless!!!

Nik, go with Second Skin Damplifier Pro followed up with a layer of Second Skin Luxury Liner Pro in the wheel well if you want to dampen the cabin noise. I guarantee you that most of the sound is coming from there as under the spare tire you'll notice, it's just a thin piece of plastic with no sound insulation. It's a simple DIY that will take maybe 3-4 hours, but greatly reduces noise levels. Dynamat or even Dynamat Xtreme isn't nearly as well engineered as the Second Skin products.

a few other guys and I have already done this. One of the guys I sold my left over sheets to and he posted pics of it (can't remember who it was right now). All you need to buy is some spray adhesive, roller, and a box cutter.

Planning ahead plays a huge part in this task, so spend time there. Basically use a piece of paper to make a sample cutout of the shape you want. Do this for the whole area to be covered, then cut the shapes out of the damplifier material to get a precise fit. More surface area you cover, the better. Remember, this (along with Dynamat) are vibration reduction material, which is one aspect of the noise. Luxury Liner Pro is a dense foam material that blocks out the rest of the road noise and is laid out on top with aluminum tape covering the edges.
