Question about Daytime Running Lights
Just wondering if you have P2 what the daytime running lights are....Are they the xenons without the eyelids? And if so, is there a way to just have the eyelids on and no other lights?

Ahh ya kidding!?
I was hoping the same, that the eyelids are just on.
What does the W204 look like then with side lights? (as called in the UK) I was hoping they would be the eyelids.
(My car will not have the ILS)
How did this W204 manage to get just the eyelids working here then??...

That car put the switch Past the auto position. That will turn on the eyelids, and the tailights. But I don't want my tails always on and I don't want to have to manually turn on my headlights at night. Thats what you will have to do if you just want the eyelids on.

Right, so you can run with the eyelids on, but tail lights also on.
To be honest, in all the Audi's I have owned we have had to do that, as we never had an Auto switch. More common in Mercs I think.
So I will be OK then!!????!
(Just had a call from my dealer, they said the car breathes!! it will be with them on Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Just to be clear. US C-class headlight switches include the following:
"0" - which means Off. No lights on anywhere on the car.
Next click to right "A" - Auto mode. headlights come on only when required
Next Click (Not sure what the label is) - Marker lights. Meaning Front eyelids, front bumper orange marker lights, and rear taillights. In this position you can now pull for fog lamps also.
Next click right - Headlights on including marker lights. Also pull for fog lamps.
I have my daytime running lights set to off so not sure what happens with with the setting on. This setting is adjustable via the instrument cluster menu.
Also the two clicks to the left of the "0" position are "parking lights" in which one position lights up right side only and the other lights up left side marker lights only.

Thanks for that - top post!
So, as for Euro spec C's, the settings 'could' be different?
Hopefully still meaning that the eyelids can be switched on just showing, even if it means the tail lights are also on?
