2008 w204 halogen projector adjustment.

does anyone know how to adjust the halogen headlight projector up and down? my driver side beam is a little bit too low.. when i look under the hood i saw this hole with arrows going left and right, maybe thats the place? problem is i cant see inside the hole unless i take the headlights out, and don't have a clue which tool is needed..searched the forum but didn't see any answers.. i went to the mb dealer to make my driver side light beam just a little bit higher, but they said they will charge me $120 dollars for it.. i also got aftermarket hids on it, wonder if i should just go to the dealer and spend the money.. Any tips will help. thanks.

There should be a hole with a white cap that you can eithe put a hex key or a screwdriver in it, It should be located right on top of the headlight.

Of course, I am not going to adjust it so high that it blinds oncoming traffic, or cars in front of me, but when compared to other cars I have with Xenons and leveling like my infiniti, my car's beam is very low, only go out like 15 feet. What gives?

All you need a screwdriver. Yes ECE coded cars are aim very low comparing with DOT. Tooo low that is is actually dangerous in dark urban areas. When I first had my cars, I though it was just me who though it was too low. When I first took my car from the dealer, I couldnt even see down the road because there were adjusted way too low. I had to adjust it atleat a couple of inches up from a 25 ft wall.

I'm glad to see this, recently had my drivers side headlight replaced and it wasn't aimed properly. So it really is as simple as putting a screwdriver into some screw on top of the housing that I should find when I open it up?

Look for the white "hex" nut and put in an allen wrench. Start turning and you'll see the headlight adjust up or down. Extremely simple.

Do you have to adjust aiming after an HID install? I'm installing 35w 6000k I got from Morimoto
