Why would you recommend him to drop the factory 18" wheels??? It only costs him 15 dollars a month extra and you must keep in mind that he's only LEASING IT. He has to return it the way he got it.

Yes, you can do that stuff to a leased car. Depending on the dealership, they'll let you return it as is if it's just minor stuff like that. Even if they make you change it back, just change the bulbs out.

Why buy aftermarket wheels for a lease? That would be pointless...

Go with the 18" AMGs, I have them and they are awesome!

I just think Japanese sedans in general are all ugly. They're either way too bland or way too overstyled. The only one I genuinely liked was the last generation Acura TL. I always thought it was a great looking car, but we all know what Honda did to the new one.

How does this happen....

Well sure they have their on and offs, but I meant in terms of how most people here seem to only judge by outer appearance....Although I must agree with you on the TL. I really dislike their new styling. I loved the old styling on the TL and TL-S very, very much.

And I must admit, the interior of the G37 was gorgeous. But I wasn't too fond of its rear. Then again, I'm not THAT fond of my C's rear either...kinda fat seeing how the lower bumper sticks out. Even my friends have commented the same

Before purchasing my C, I really wanted to opt for the TL Type-S , I have to agree that the rear is probaly one of my unfavorable part of the car exterior speaking, I think the tailights that angles downward make the rear look smaller than it really is. Speaking of that, how many of you would choose a type-s over our C?

It is sad to see a Mercedes even compared to a Maxima. However that is Mercedes fault for not offering more in the C class. The G37 and the Hyundai Genesis should scare Mercedes into increasing their engine power, offering more equipment as standard, and lowering their price (good luck). On paper, the Hyundai Genesis is equal to a MBZ E550 and it costs about the same as a C Class. So there are much better alternatives to the Maxima in terms of what you might compare to the C Class. That being said, I still bought the C class!

I think it really the respectable name, once Hyundai has a reputation like MB (which will probably never happen), they would also charge more for their cars.

I don't know man, the Equus may possibly nudge Hyundai into MBZ's territory soon It's been rather popular in the Asian market (particularly Korea no doubt) and is causing quite the stir in America now.

They're also ditching the typical user's manual and replacing it with an iPad. Ridiculous? Yes. Undesirable? Probably not :P

But before anyone else says the car is overstyled, I will say myself, the car is a bit overstyled in that the front bumper seems a bit...busy. At least there are no Hyundai H's on the car.

The Acura "beak" is simply hideous, not to mention Honda/Acura interiors have become very, very busy.
I have seen a black TL in North Atlanta with the beak blacked out and that really seems to help out.

i want HID fogs, that is a must, on a black car to have them on during the day looks hott

i want it lowered, and i want rims

nothing too fancy but just classy looking

id be willing to pay someone on these boards if they live in NJ to install the HID fogs for me
You want to lower the C300? Shoot me now! You'll likely change the handling characteristics of the Benz. I have the base C300 (2009) and love the superior handling at any speed and the brisk acceleration.

I have to honestly say that our C is already low as it is, from the lowering point of the front bumper there is only rougly about 4-5 inches of clearance from the ground. My philosophy is that a car never be too low. If this wasnt daily driver I would lowered it also.

What type of car did you drive before this? Honestly the stock handling on the car sucks. There is too much body roll and the steering is loose. Without the dynamic handling package I probably would have bout and Audi S4 with drive select which allows you to adjust throttle response, dampening, and shift points...although you can't be continuously variable dampening on the Mercedes.

Lower that beast and add some sways while you are add it. Sways will tighten up the steering a little bit.

And the C is not low...not even with the supersports is it really that low...and I do not even like slammed cars.

Previously - Acura TSX, TL, VW Passat, Audi A4 of note. I find the handling outstanding - but that's me!

Guess its all relative because all of those turn boats (I've never driven a TL though). I always think handling can be improved though. Once you've driven a ride that handles well it's really hard to settle for less.

The C with the C63 rims and tires really do improve stability of the car, especially during cornerting, but yes the feel on the steering is still not there, but I guess that is just how MB cars are. My S absolutely has the best handling I can think out of a roadster, it is a pure drivers car with great feel to the steering and the turning ratio is amazing and the handling is none the less perfect. But again they are two different type of car with two different cup of tea.

Between the 2 I would say C bec the payments are so similar.

I have been looking to lease a C as well but could not find anyone willing to go under $400 (with p1 only plus htd seats)

Let me know who you are dealing with so I could give them a call
