What did you do to your ride today?

I figured we should have a thread that people can bump every time they add a new mod or do something nice. I swapped out my stock pins for the new AMG ones.

Great idea, do they make "better looking" pins. Those simply look like cylinders with no design or anything. But I do like how they sit flush with the door when locked.

As for the thread, today I drove my car like a banshee on the way to class today, woke up a little late... haha.

Mercedes doesn't make anything better than that, though I do appreciate the simplicity. It has the AMG logo etched into the tops, and that's what I was worried about more than anything. Carlsson has a bit fancier pin which uses grooves, and Brabus has a pin as well (with cheap replicas). I got the pins as a gift from my Mercedes dealership so I'm definitely not complaining!

No Ron, the set is for all 4's. Although, I guess you can just order 2 for the fronts as they are the only ones that are annoying when you put your arm out of the window. However, I doubt you will find them sold separately, but rather, in a package.

If they are all the same size, I guess people can split packages. Lol.

Also, not on the topic, but Ron, I realize that you live very close to me. If you don't mind me asking, where do you take your car for service. I went to Huntington Mercedes and bought it there, but after a terrible experience, I am looking for a new dealership for future purchases and/or service.

Is there any one in particular you would recommend? I would imagine you would use the amittyville dealership on Sunrise as it is closest for you...

Pictured? Yes. However, I have the rear as well. Do you want me to take a picture of those later? Also, they're not sold as a set but each individual pin is sold separately. I thought it was in pairs, because in the system it listed each part as 2 pieces, but when they arrived it was only 1 pin in each box, which means at first I got 1 pin for the front and 1 pin for the back.. and I had to order them twice.

They're not the same size, the rear ones (I think) were a bit longer.. I don't have the part numbers in front of me but the front was 23 and the rear 24 I believe.

Something nice...mmmm...I refused to hand her over to the valet at Emory and they let me park myself, right up front...she was so proud...then I took her for a fill up of premium gas and even a nice dose of Chevron Techron fuel system cleaner. She is curled up in the carport resting happily...

Pretty sure we have a thread like this already, but everyone wants their own thread to show off their new mods lol. I can understand though as it makes searching easier.

I use Mercedes of Massapequa. They haven't pissed me off to much yet, they just can't find out what causes the CEL to go on every weekend (this is week 5 in a row).

I don't have a clue, I think the front is a screw off, and the rear you have to pop the door panel for but my dealership did the install for free.

So, I was about to put on these new carbon fiber wheel caps I got from a manufacturer in Taiwan. The chrome linings snapped with the slightest pressure from me pushing them into place. Does anyone know of any retailers who have more durable ones--preferably black with the chrome benz star (does not have to be CF).

Yeah, I think everyone who has bought these have had problems with them breaking. They're complete garbage.

Applied Lamin-X film to my fogs I luv the way it looks and now I won't have to worry about getting these cracked due to road debris

changed fogs to diamondvision 5000K, changed interior lights to LED, and blacked out trunk trim.

blacking out the sides & grille soon, and changing wheels from stock to mandrus manheim - gun metal 19''

edit: does anyone know where I can get the front spoiler lip (non-CF ones)? Besides eBay of course.

Thanks!

Put on new side markers and LED strip. The LEDs are not as blue in person

The LEDs are interesting...not sure if I like them or not but kinda think they will grow on me. Nice job.

Deleted the full taillight blackout in favor of the whites only, since the Lamin-X started to lift off the contours of the red.. and installed the instrument cluster in wood, pretty much wrapping up my woodwork.
