Drove my car 256 miles today, up to and around Hampton, New Hampshire and Porthsmouth, Maine and back. Runs like a champ!

I was born in Germany and have moved around a lot, so i've moved a lot internationally and in the U.S. and for college my family moved back to Boston because my sister is attending Suffolk University in Boston while I attend BU. At the moment I live on campus, but our temporary home is Hyde Park. My parents are looking to move north of Boston sometime in the near future.

My sister is studying International Business and lives at home so she commutes in. She's going to Tokyo for a year and seems to enjoy Suffolk, though it seems to be harder to make good friends since most people commute.

Yea it is a bit harder to make good friends there, I went for business but didn’t really like it there to much. I ended up leaving there after 2 years I didn’t really like the idea of sitting behind a desk so I went to a school for automotive technology instead. So now I get to work on cars and I love it. if I finished up at Suffolk I don’t think I would have ever gotten the chance to work on some of that cars I have so far.

Out Of Control!!
Hey guys check out yuppieracing.net
There is a group on there that goes to shows. I wont say we are necessarily a car club, or european only/german only car club but I can say that we have the hottest cars in boston.
Most of our cars hail from Europe... Modded 996 and 997TTs, a CL500, S65, Dinan E39 M5, a bunch of E92 M3s, a bunch of E46M3s, ferraris, lambos, an R8, S5, a bunch of GTR's etc etc etc
You get the idea... check us out, we also put together the local boston cars and coffee events. Most of the site is composed of young professionals, who enjoy going for drives, going to shows, hanging out, etc. We have lots of regular events at Super88(near BU), Sonic, and BBQ/Wash nights at a shop in Acton.
There are a couple events coming up next weekend if you guys are interested

I'm interested in Boston car clubs too. I'm about to check out Yuppieracing.net. I've been to two Cars and Coffee meets around here and the cars have been amazing!!
Also a coincidence along with the rest of you I graduated from BU as well!

albertb, this is a lucky guess but are you by any chance SMG '08 alum (I am) ?
MB300AMG, I studied finance & information systems and I really enjoyed the school. I commuted so I feel I maybe missed out on some of the fun and camaraderie that you can have and build if you stay on campus but oh well, still got a degree, so I cannot complain.

Where did you transfer to? Was it still in Boston/Massachusetts?

Also Stone, what is your name on the forum?
I'm glad there are a lot of BU and Boston people on this forum. I was starting to think that I was one of the lonely few.
Speaking of Boston...anybody else's car taken a beating from the potholes? My dad and sister have been driving my car while I was away (my parents now live about half an hour away from BU so I keep the car at theirs most of the time) and they don't care for the car as well as I do, so they've hit quite a few potholes and it looks like my rims have especially taken quite a beating. The car was spotless in Florida when I lived there and all the way up here, but because of Boston's generally bad drivers and the bad roads my car has suffered quite a lot.
Obviously i'm angry, but i'll be returning the car pretty soon when my dad gets his new car. My sister is going to Japan and my dad is having a dispute with the bank, so he wants to return it and then buy new cars when his payments come in and I work for him some more this summer.
But back on topic, anybody else's car taking a beating from Boston's crappy roads?

Hey 55Fanatic, I want to sign up for the website and it says to mention who referred you, but i'm not sure what your username on the website is. Mind telling me so I can give you the credit?
