20" EXE wheels... anyone gone this route?

So I have been looking at wheels and found a set of EXE flair wheels with Toyo Proxes 4 tires for around $2600, wondering if anyone has these and how they ride. They are 20" which I know will result in a rougher ride, they look really nice on the car in the pics but I would like to see them in person. My car is not lowered (yet) so I wonder how that would look...

they look good and i dont think that car in the pic is lowered. i had a set of 19's on my car before i went back to my C63 rims and the fender gap was about the same in that pic.

The car in that pic is definitely lowered, as for wheel size.. 19 is the way to go 20's are just too big and unnecassary! I had 20's with toyo proxies, car road like crap and those tires are very loud!! Ive been using falken 452 noo complaints

I talked to the shop that put the wheels on that car. It's sitting on Eibachs if I remember correctly. I have a similar set up. 20x8.5 42ET 225/35-20 and 20x10 54ET 255/30-20 on Eibachs. I rub slightly in the right front wheel well when I hit a dip in the road. The outside of the tire rubs the plastic at the top of the fender. No rubbing anywhere else.

Why did you ditch the 19's?

Nice, how is the ride? I heard that it can be punishing with 20"s...

The ride is fine. There is some tire noise but not audible once you turn the radio on. My 19" Nitto 555's were extremely noisey. The 20" Falken 452's are much quieter. I had 19's before and there is no difference in ride that I can tell. My car rides very comfortably and the roads in my area suck. Washington DC area has horrible roads. I change my tires each spring and the 20's are cheaper then the 19's.

I run 20's, no issues. In fact needs to be lowered a bit to look better.

Quality is good, ive had a fair few rims on my other cars (chrysler 300c's) and they were all 22" and 24", all diferent brads etc. These are just as good as them.
The only advice is make sure the shim (insert) inside the rim to go on the hub is metal and not plastic as the will make a clicking noise over time.

has anyone heard about the quality of these EXE's? They aren't exactly cheap and seem to come from a reputable shop. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find then in NM, probably going to have to make a trip to Cali just for wheels.

I know of an S class that has the XE Konkourse rims, they look really nice, plain but nice. the quality on them looks good. They are made in Japan I think, generally their quality is pretty good on rims.
