It's really easy. I did mine in an afternoon. Ok, two afternoons but that's what happens with kids. Seriously though it's not much work, very basic stuff.

You'll need to buy a few things, two of which you'll probably want to order, the camera and the farka adapter from Mid City Engineering. It's all basic tools, no soldering or cutting of wires required. I'm kinda pissed at myself for putting it off for so long because I thought it would be more work than it was...

(as Ben Stiller says)
Do it. No really, do it. Seriously. Do it.

I installed my backup camera in a little over an hour. Parktronic you have to remove the rear bumper drill holes (and maybe do some touch up on the paint) route wires. Doesn't seem like an easy job to me.

Is there a DIY made up for this?

question to you guys. If I buy the Fakra cable from Mid, and the OEM benz camera, is it going to work together?

Josh I don't see why not. You will have to see what connector is on the OEM camera. It may be MB's own so you will then need to buy the OEM cable also which I bet has the FAKRA already on.
