Some help w/ wheels...will these rims fit?

Morning all! I've been looking for cheap black rims in the Toronto-area for my 2009 c300 sport 6speed - and it hasn't been easy. First off: I'm on a budget and I want to stay with my stock staggered 17" tires. I've located these Klasse Euro Mesh rims in 17 x 7 1/2, 5 x 112 bolt pattern with a 40 offset - which I like a lot. Will they fit though? Hope someone can help out a noob...Thnx

We seem to have the identical cars. Even keeping the tires, why are you intentionally trying to eliminate having staggered wheels, as the OE wheels are 17 x 8 1/2 in the rear? Further, the offset on the Klasse wheels are too small. The spec is 47 front and 58 rear. You don't have to be exact, but these wheels will stick out of the openings.

I am also looking for new wheels, and these guys have been telling me they ordered new styles of wheels with offsets which work for the W204 platform. They are supposedly arriving from Europe around the end of June.

One other thought....you might want to spend money on tires first. The wheels may look better, but the opportunity to improve the car's performance compared to the poor original Contis (if that's what you also received) is huge!

Yes they will fit, but they would look ugly bc they wheels would stick out of the fenders too much.. My advice, save some $$ soo you have more options maybe some 18's staggered wheel/tire package you can get some nice stuff for like $2,000.. Don't settle for 17's cuz you wana reuse your stock tires

Agree on the fit advice, but I don't think all of us who want 17s are "settling". I turned down 18s at time of purchase. There is a point of view that 17" provides an excellent balance of ride, handling, acceleration, and braking. The primary advantage of going larger is appearance, if that trade-off is more important to someone. For a little more than $1,000, he could have great new 17" tires and wheels.

thanks for the advice so far. It's partially budgetary but I really don't desire 18s that much - my last car was a 2005 Infiniti G35 6MT with 20" rims > it looked good but I agree with Sportstick's ideology that especially in this car > it's not necessary as the car feels good already with the stock set up. I don't really want to go the route of replicas as I'm looking for a black, dishy rim which this Klasse is but if u guys think it's gonna be wrong to do...I'll have to rethink the whole thing. The larger rears should still fit the rim though right? (albeit a bit stretched - I assume). Is it really going to suck that bad?

BTW: mine came with Michelin Pilots stock

For offset, yes.

ok i assumed that since you are on a budget thats the only reason you are going with 17's, bc you want to use the stock tires and that would save you some $$.. as for looks i wouldnt go 17's, just loks too small IMO obv.. well good luck.. i do like those wheels btw, but they just look like every other mesh bbs style wheel out there..

stock tires with aftermarket wheels is a negative. If your really on a budget have them painted black, flat black thats the only way that your stock 17" will look decent if not save up and get something worth buying tires arent that expensive and you dont need to buy the most expensive tires even general exclaim tires

Check to see the center bore size (I believe it shoud be 72.6 mm) if the wheels are hubcentric. You may need to get hubcentric rings to prevent wobbling feel.

First I would make sure any wheel I buy was hub centric period. Second the rears are going to stick out 18mm from your wheel, thats 3/4 of a inch. get a ruler put it on the edge of your rim and see how far 3/4 of a inch is, it will stick out, the tire will stick farther out than the rim, you wont like the look, that look is for little 4 cyl. pocket rockets not a Benz. I know a fellow that has a 2008 with 17`s and he lowered the car with stock wheels and I think it looks great. I myself may stay with 17`s when I lower but not stock wheels. I simply want the better ride. Good Luck Jim
