Dealership nightmare keeps growing...

A few months ago my secretary left her e brake off and it rolled into my car. I figured I would take it to an MB dealership for the repair. They have to have a higher level attention to detail right? WRONG!!!!

To make a long story short:

Brought car to dealer.

Paint was way off.

Brought it back and they told me to call back in 2 weeks to make an appointment.

Dropped car off. They tried to put me into a KIA rental. HELL NO!! I got a 2010 Tahoe.

Got car back and paint match was acceptable.

A few months later the clearcoat is chipping.

I go to dealer they tell me they will call me back in 2 weeks.

No call.

I call and get an appointment 2 weeks later.

I drop the car off.

2 hours later they tell me they noticed damage to the front right rim. I said HELL NO! That wasn't damaged when I dropped it off. He said he will take care of it. Problem is a new wheel will take 3 months to get.

2 days later I get a call that the car will be ready tomorrow but they curbed my rear wheel and will pay for a new one.

WTF!!!!!!!!!

Very FAST!
Sorry about your trouble, but you are not the only one with a black cloud above their head. My story:

2009 Bought new C300

2 days later, the warning light comes on

Took to the dealer and they say its a sensor (car has 12 miles on it)

I get a BMW rental though, drives great (so I buy the wife one)

Get the car back 3 days later, and there is a dent in the hood

I schedule to take it in to get it fixed and a week later its fixed

When I go to pick it up, now there is a dent in the back bumper (I am VERY particular about my car and I know every scratch/dent)

Finally its fixed, and then there is a scratch in the door, I say nothing b/c I am fed and look for another dealer.

Saturday of this week I take delivery of a new 2010 E350

I get the windows tinted on Monday, and their is a burning smell in the trunk on the way home, the speakers go out.

I take it to the dealer, after 4 hours of waiting, they say the amp is blown and it'll take a few days to come in.

It arrives on Thursday (yesterday) and the amp is installed (all day process.

When I get ready to leave, the car won't start, seems the push button start has failed.

Dealer looks at it again, says that everything checks out good....WTF are you talking about!

I am scheduled to bring it back in this am for round 3. I'm a little pissed.

I hate hearing things like this... Finding a great dealership is a lot like finding a great daycare for your kids I think. There are a lot of sub-par and average ones out there and it is tough to find a great one. Once you do you stick with it and tell all your friends about it! So far I'm very pleased with my MB dealership and hopefully I didn't just jinx myself...

WTH? Which MD MB dealer is this? I haven't moved there yet and I'm starting to wonder if I'll need to take my C300 to a dealer in VA for service!

c3: I would suggest you file a formal complaint via MBUsa's website.

I've had very good experiences in the past having MB take care of the rear brake dust problem even after the dealership flat out rejected me because it was over a year but I had half the miles of the threshold.

I guess what they do is they hear your problem out, and if it is something the MBUSA can do for you, they will actually do it. Nothing but the best experience so far from MBUSA directly

From what I know, MBUSA's service is great, dealerships on the other hand can be sketchy. Since it is a repair, I am really not sure if it falls on MBUSA's hands and maybe the dealership knows this and are being dbags about it.
