On a scale of
1 to 10 [ 10 meaning without any doubt ] would you buy another Mercedes W204. Or what else would you choose?
Did you buy the right color? but after spending time on this forum would you have opted for another.
If you could MAKE ONLY 1 modification to your car, what would it be. Just 1 can`t make any more.

I would buy a W204 again.
I bought the right color.
The only thing I would like changed is a less creaky, ticking and rattly interior. Aside from that, I find the car perfect.

I think I made the right choice at the time of purchase but would reevaluate the cars on the market today if/when I am ready to buy again.
I still love my Iridium Silver!
I would love to have fold down seats...of course if you are talking about adding things that were not available...maybe another 50 HP from direct injection and tuning of the 3.0 would have been nice.

Tell me about it! I just bought my wife a new Honda Accord EXL V6 [ she`s in love with Honda/Acuras. It`s 275 HP and frankly is a lot of fun to drive, anyway she constantly kids me that for the first in life she has a car thats faster than mine. Now that pisses me off!
Our cars with 300HP would be it. Of coarse the future if gasoline is in question and HP may in its last days. But I`ve been reading up on electric and they have the potential to go faster

I don't know that I'd buy another C204.
I've cracked 2 windshields, problems (August last year under warranty and now notunder warranty) with the a/c (this time it'll cost me $267 for a stupid "0" ring that's out of warranty, cam magnets needed repair, bixenon lamp housing and starter replacements, two trips for the sirus radio problem. For a car that's just over 2 1/2 years old and 52,000 miles, this is a lot of crap to have repaired. Then there were the seats that are a bit too hard which was corrected in the 2009 model. This is an early production 2008 model, but if someone told me all this would have happened, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have gotten it.
About a month ago (before the second windshield crack and the a/c problem), I was seriously considering trading in and getting the E series 2 door coupe. Now, that's out of the question. You shouldn't have had so many trips to the MB dealership that you know most the people there on a first name basis.

CPO C63 hands down if I could clean slate it now. If it wasn't for lack of CPO, limited supply, and dealer additional markups back in 08, that's what I'd be riding in.
And as for mod, I'd have to be drop. I can't stand 4x4 stances. Even getting nice new wheels, if you're sitting high, it won't look good.

Love the C but I would not get it again as I have a growing family (lol 1 kid and its already a bit small but manageable)
I would like to get an ML next
Right color? I think so, but I really like this car in any color. I stare at the others on the streets and think I would be satisfied with any color.
Mod? If your talking about a factory change it would be for the tranny to have an M mode with paddle shifters as std equipment. Otherwise this car is pretty awesome for my needs.

On your scale, about a 6-7. I still feel a tug when I see a 3 Series, mostly due to the great manual transmission and sharper chassis reflexes. I would not choose a different color, and the one thing I would improve on the W204 is the manual transmission. If I could just swap out for the BMW trans, I would start saving my pennies tomorrow for that mod! But, I won't ever buy a 3 series if they continue to eliminate the spare tire well for even a mini spare storage, as is the case with the current car. Their reliance on run flats and eliminating the spare tire well was a very poor decision.

i had the same problem as AZN. If i had waited an extra Year i would be rollin in a C63 lol. but being impatient isnt one of my strong suits =/ its okay though i still love my C. One thing that i was debating about was if i wanted the same car again, but with a bigger engine. now that i think about it i think i do, but at the same time idk, its so confusing =[

I would buy another C Class 220CDI as it has diesel economy, rear wheel drive ( traction) which is capable of towing large loads of cow manure.
White colour suits me fine as it safer, cooler in summer & will look better longer.
The only thing I would change is a slightly more comfortable suspension. Probably smaller rims & a larger tyre eg a 60 or 65 profile would do the job.

I'd give my C350 a 7 or 8. Great interior, improved handling, ergonomically pleasing. Tranny is a bit slow, and the exhaust could have a bit more growl, but hey, it's a merc. (a non AMG merc). I think I would mix it up rather than buy the same car again just because I like changing things up. Considering an Evo 10 or G37. A 6MT or a Dual Clutch Tranny car seems to be something I want these days.

definitely a 10 would for sure get another w204 hopefully a c63
only change i would make is color. as sweet as black looks, it is way too much work to keep perfect. probably white or silver w/ black roof on the next one
as for mod. well its hard to pick only one... id probably get a bigger engine dropped in, or simply count the c63 as my modification lol

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
As for how I feel right now... I rate the car a 9 in its class, no doubt. Touch screen nav and standard rear folding seats would be nice. I hate that you have to get headlight washers with folding seats. I would like to get a C63, but to me the gas mileage is irresponsible (and I am way right on such issues). If there becomes a coupe with forced induction, it will be my next top pick. I'll get a silver variation or black. The dealership is okay. I only have 10,000 miles so I'v only dealt with them for the purchase and one service. I detest car most dealerships and car salesmen in general.
Tomorrow I may feel differently about the whole thing.

I went through the C63 trade-in phase. Thank God they let me use it for half day, and it eventually just seemed too much like the C300. Sure when you open it up, it's like Heaven on earth but in perfect balance, the Gas just flies away as an expense for your happiness. The slight touch of the pedal and you're reminded of how great a machine the C63 is. The suspension was also MUCH better tuned, but most of the car is too similar to a regular C, that's how it felt to me anyway, not the truth for everyone
In this class, this car for me, is better than its competition so obviously I favor it. However I've already owned it for a year so I definitely would not buy it again. Not because I haven't enjoyed it but because I would want the experience of driving something else. MB dealerships look pretty and make you feel nice but they're level of service in my experience has been sub par for what you pay.

To be honest though, I have no drop on my C350 with 19" wheels and they look fine. Not 4x4 at all. I only have 1 finger gap rear and 2 finger gap front.
