Hi Kial,
The Nav +4 is formally the UMI?, did you have it installed at the dealer, what was the final cost, I'm curious, I'm in Canada also and the dealers around here are asking $1895.00 + install. From what I read above NickCats had some major issues with the install at his dealer. Did you have any issues, how long was the car in?

'11 Mercedes Benz C300; Black on Black 7g-tronic, Nav+4 uni
I actually bought the NAV +4 with my 2011 C300. I had to special order my car for the nav+4 option but I finally got it and its great for the price at least. The screen is a bit small but it works. The nav is not the best in the world and a bit complicated but its good for dirctions only. Doesnt tell you eta or miles to dest. But it gives traffic info and speed limits. Also love the UMI system. My iPhone plugs right in and I can see everything using the instrument cluster or the command.

It does not change the sound. Speaking of sound I got the Blurtooth streaming to work. 2 problems, 1 you cannot see the tracks on the car's display, it just says streaming and it disconnects the Bluetooth connect from the phone. You have to choose one or the other, phone or music. Also you need to make sure the volume is up on the phone or turn up the volume on the dash. I use the hard connected iPod/USB.

That sucks that was one of the functions that I wished they wouldve enhanced is it just the cable that sucks or the inlet going into the unit?I wish they had made a better iPod solution

Nav+4 will allow you to control your ipod from the main display (unlike regular ipod kit where you have to use instrument cluster to navigate ipod menu)
Price has come down from about $1,900-$2,000 installed when it first introduced back in Spring of 09 to around $1,500-$1,600 now
Sound quality is better than the regular ipod kit, you can even turn up volume so ipod playback is louder and close to the same level from radio

Chris, Nav 20 is just the Audio 20 replacement, I do not believe it is the Map version. I cannot figure out the map version as well. Guess I will call next week to find out also. You should also see UMI when you have the lid open and you start the car. If someone knows maybe they can help?

I know im a newb in this area but here it goes anyway. Whats the pros and cons of nav +4 or buying a command and doing the retrofit, you can get commands on ebay for about 700-900 dlls plus the retrofit kit $500 more, and from what i learned at the dealer the nav +4 here in texas is sold for $1700 + install. Please advise

Christian -- which dealership in Texas quoted you that price? I'm interested in installing the UMI, as well. I'm in the DFW area. Thanks.

Waayyy down south Texas, the dealer close to here is Mercedes Benz of San Juan (956) 787-4400 the parts guy didn't even know what i ws talking about but after looking at some manual or talking to somebody he gave me that price, his name is Miguel i Believe. I think that if the price is better they could actually ship it to you for next to nothing. Please let me know if you get a better price also.
