Baby Benz got some new shoes

Got home from work tonight and UPS Dude left me a project for tonight.

18" Drag DR19s mounted on Yokohama Envigor rubber
(225/40 front, 255/35 rear)

I ran it long enough to get the new TPMS settled and set the pressures to 35 front/40 rear, it that right?

Blackberry pic, I'll try to get some better shots this week in the daylight...

IF ANYBODY is interested in the 17x8 Sparco Pistas (wheels, lugs, locks, and rings) in my sig pic, I'll make you a GREAT deal (1 scraped but straight) PM ME!!!

Those tires have way too much air?

I keep my fronts around 28 PSI and rears around 31... I have the 18" rims.

Well, I keep mine on the low side for ride comfort/pot hole survival in the front. The best way to find out is the open the driver door and look on the sticker near where the door handle latches to the frame. It has the recommended tire pressures for cold and warm weather driving. I would just take away 2 PSI from what they recommend.

Lower pressure may make the ride more comfortable for you, but reduces the likelihood of your rims surviving a pothole. Lower air pressure allows more sidewall flex and the force of the pothole is more directly transmitted to the rim. Around here in potholed Michigan, our shops recommend running slightly high primarily to protect against rim damage! Also, running lower than recommended increases tire wear along the inner and outer edges of the tread, and the additional sidewall flexing increases heat build up during high speed/highway driving, which deteriorates the overall tire (and in the extreme, increases the chance of blowout). Adding pressure above the usual settings is recommended for high speed driving. 2psi is not an extreme variation, but other than your seat comfort, directionally, it does all the wrong things for your car.

Follow the owner's manual and door jamb label information. More work by the MB Vehicle Development team went into developing that data than anyone else has done.

fit excellent, and I have to admit, I was worried about the ride loss going to the 18's... BUT these YOKO Envigors are WAY quieter and smoother than the OEM Conti 17's

(this morning's pic, sorry still from the Blackberry, had to work)

Brisk, my guess is you won't last more than 6 hours before you get warned/banned for advertising without becoming a sponsor.

Just wondering, if I have a set of 20's on my c300 sport, do I still go for what's indicated on the driver side door/fuel flap in terms of tire presssure?

TIA

No...fuel flap pressures are not for normal use...the sticker on the driver's door jamb has the proper pressures. This is discussed in the owner's manual, as well.
