I wanted to get an opinion from the forum on which of these you guys like the best.

Option 1 :

The only thing I don't like, I don't have any carbon fiber on my car now.

3rd option because you don't have any carbon fiber and a chrome frame would be too much chrome for the back.

I visited a few of the local parts houses and ended up with a very simple, slim line chrome frame. I think just a small touch of chrome around the tag compliments the horizontal chrome strip above and I prefer the clean look vs. any type of lettering etc...guess that is why I debadged.

Either black or no frame at all. CF if you plan on getting CF parts down the road.

Black. I bought regular painted black and it rusted after a few months. Found some powder coated black frames and have lasted for about a year.

I voted CF but thats because I have CF frames. But seriously either black or CF will look good on a black car.

I vote for one of the frames in the third link. But not the ///AMG ones. Eitehr the black or chrome mercedes benz one. Leaning more towards the black mercedes benz one that has the chrome around the name.

I voted chrome because it will nicely with your chrome window sills and the trunk chrome.

I have the matte silver with the black Mercedes-Benz logo on my black C. I made the dealer give it to me when I bought the car. I think it looks good. (and i'm fussy)

The same chrome license plate frame that I got from my dealership when I bought the car, I painted it gloss black and it looks perfect lol

I have these license plate frames on my last two cars and I love it.
Very solid and takes a beating.
I especially like the very clean look of the frame with the barely there Allen screw fittings.
It's a little pricey but they last for ages.

$45 for a license plate frame?! The $10 "chrome" kind that I got from AutoZone looks just fine and lasted me 4yrs. Recently bought a black one to go with the tinted tails and the black vinyl strip i used to cover the chrome trunk trim.

Get the 3D raised chrome name on black frame. Not sure what the difference is between the two black frames in the picture. Maybe one of them was supposed to be gold name. Choices are:

Question would it be stupid to get the license plate frame that has AMG on it if your car currently isn't one but you have the AMG sport package including wheels that say AMG?

I ask only because I am firmly against putting badges on cars that arent what they are like M badges on a regular three series. But I feel since its a just a license plate frame its not a big deal.

I would think it would be just fine. Llike you said, as long as you are not badging it an AMG, you are not crossing "the line"...lol.

I agree with Jeff, chrome to match the other chrome on the back. But no words on it, everyone already knows it's a Mercedes and the words at the bottom are too much when you have letters & numbers on the license plate itself...
