Put your Contacts from a PC or Mac in your Mercedes

Real simple, I just exported 2000 contacts from my Mac address book as vcard, drag it to my PCMCIA slot card. Put the PCMCIA in my car, hit import in a matter of 2 seconds all my contacts transfer over on my address book in my 2008 MB C350.

If you need help on how to it drop me an email, I'll run you thru it, Good Luck.

It is very simple, Step 1 export your contacts in Phonebook to "Vcard" on a mac, or on a PC inside of Outlook it is called "Apple Address Book". You can also export numbers from Google Voice into "Vcard" format if you have an android based phone.

Step 2 copy the newly created file into the root directory of your media card, and insert the card into your PCMCIA slot in your mercedes. Then goto phone menu, then scroll all the way to down to the bottom left corner and select "Phone" menu, then select "Address Book" then select "Import Vcard" then Select "PCMCIA Card" and it will import the file you just created.

Note this will only work on cars with either UMI or Command Package as you need a PCMCIA slot. If you do not have a PCMCIA slot you can select the "Bluetooth" option and send the files from a Vista laptop(requires Vista to do it for free as OBEX FTP is built in to Vista, If you have an Xp laptop you will need something like http://www.brothersoft.com/medieval-...fer-57305.html to do it) to your car as well using the same file you created in the Step 1.
