Yep..I'm hard on my wheels so I picked these up bc they were so cheap..glad I didnt spend more bc I already curbed 'em a bit..

Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised by them. The offset is a little more aggressive than stock which you can see in the pics but I like it. The wheels are actually flush with the fenders rather than set in. They don't stick out at all though, and no rubbing whatsoever..even with a full car (excuse the pic quality..it's a camera phone).

Are yours 18"s????

They look good on your car. Its hard to tell sometimes when you're just looking at the rims without tires.

Yep..18s. Honestly these pics aren't a very good representation. They look much better in person.

C300Kid,

Tell me. Since all the wheels are 8.5, are your front tires now the wide ones like the rears??

How is the ride comfort and noise levels? Which tires did you go with?

Mine are actually 8.5 in the front and 9.5 in the rear. OEWheels offers the staggered setup as well..at least they did when I bought.

I've noticed no change in ride comfort or noise levels from stock. I ended up going with the Hankook Ventus V12 Evos after reading rave reviews in car&driver and online.

I have an on and off minor vibration in my steering wheel that still has yet to be explained. I assume the wheels are still not properly balanced but I don't know for sure what's causing it. That aside, the tires are very good for the money.

Kyle,

That's one of the things that concern me. As unimpressive as my current wheels are, I have to say that the balance on them is spot on. I'm not so sure that after market wheels in this price range will be as well balanced. So I struggle with the thought of vibration on some really nice looking wheels or keeping what I have for the sake of a better ride. As with all things life related...its a crap shoot.

I think if you have a road-force balance done you should be good. I asked for that last time I had mine balanced but I'm fairly certain they didn't do it. When I get back from vaca I'll take it in and let you know if that solves the problem.

Oewheels was good about it though and said if I found an imperfection they would sell me just one replacement wheel (rather than a set of 4) at cost.

dad,

I thought you could just transfer them from your original wheels. Not so?

Sure, you can buy them but shop around a bit. Seems that the prices for the same sensors vary quite a bit. If you're in an area where you need to keep a set of winter tires, then it only makes sense to have sensors in each set. I was thinking about only having one set and didn't want the added expense of rebuying the sensors if I could reuse the old ones.

Yeah they can just transfer the sensors, I don't even think the shop charged me for that.

If you want to buy a new set they're fairly easy to find.

19" wheels

I went with a 19's...
Lowered on H&R springs, they fit perfect. No rubbing.

What did you do for tire sizes? Meaning did you just upgrade the from 17" to 19" and keep the other numbers the same or did you have to also change the tire sizes beyond the 17" number.

I was noticing that on my OEM 17" wheels, the tires bulge out as though they're underinflated but aren't where on yours in the photos they seem to be at their widest at the lips and narrow as they get to the tread. Are you able to tell if the tread is wearing evenly?????

My C300 is in Artic White. You don't happen to know of another forum member who has these wheels in 18" with an artic white car? Just wanted to see how they look.

Nah, I changed all the numbers because these new wheels are wider and I didn't want the super-stretched look. I think the stock 17" wheels are 7.5" in the front and 8.5" in the rear. My new ones are 8.5" and 9.5"..the added width looks good in person..much more agressive stance. Also, when you go from 17s to 18s you need a slightly lower profile tire to counteract the bigger rim. You never wanna change the diameter of the overall wheel. If you put the same width rubber on a bigger wheel it'll increase the diameter and you'll get rubbing..and it will look stupid.

These are the stock tires:

FRONT: 225/45-17
REAR: 245/40-17

These are the tires I went with and they're pretty much the perfect size..they fill up the wheel wells really nice, i've been asked multiple times if i've dropped the car:

FRONT: 235/40ZR-18 Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 XL
REAR: 265/35ZR-18 Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 XL

(and obviously if you go with the non-staggered 8.5" setup..you'd just need 4 of the top tires)

Lastly..the ideal look (imo) should be widest at the rim and get slightly narrower towards the tread..I've had 'em on since last October and they're wearing perfectly even..no issues there.

I'll see if I can find a white car for you to see. I'm not sure if i've seen one with these exact wheels but I've def seen a white one with something very similar..it would still give you an idea of the look.

Good luck!

I think any tire shop has them? Aren't they universal for most wheels/cars? If not then the dealer parts dept would have the part number.
