HID 55 Watts help
ok so i just noticed that the light color output for my HIDs are very off. The left passenger headlight is slightly more yellow-ish compared to the driver side. I have the 55 watts setup, does anyone know what could be the problem or have experience the same problem? Thanks.....

No i purchased the bulbs from stealthauto.com....I am waiting for a response. I did try putting in another used bulb that I had laying around and it still had the same problem.

I think that the problem is the kit itself, being 55 watts it may have some sort of outage imbalance which is causing the color to wash away...can anyone confirm this? ..thanks...

DMoney - I had a similar issue that I posted yesterday. I got the DDM tuning at 55w. One bulb was yellow and the other was blue (got 5000k). After using them for a day or two, the color has evened out. The guy who installed said if you use 55w, that the color temp drops about 1000k due to using 55w over 35w. I thought one was really yellow, but I guess that was compared to blue. They both seem pretty white now now that the color has evened out.

I have 8K, but with 55watts it looks like a 6K. The side that I was having problem did not look white it was yellow (like 4300K). I was thinking about resorting to just the regular 35W but wasn't sure about how great the light output is compared to the 55W.

I do not remember from the beginning. But I know it was discolored for quite awhile and never bothered to change it. And response to your 55watt compared to 35watt, 55watt is extremely more bright. Its like comparing 35watt to halogens

Samiee - It actually seems that way. The drivers side was yellow, (4000k, guessing) and the passenger side seemed like 6000k. Then, after driving for a day or two, they have evened out and both seem like they are around 4000k or 5000k. Here is a picture of what it looked like at first (and I was mad, and I called and e-mailed DDM). Now they seem to be fine. One thing is though that I definitely noticed the color difference during the day when I looked at the lights head-on. I checked them at night and they seemed fine, but maybe it was just glaring my eyes and they really are different. Sorry if that response was confusing.
