OMG! Check this dealer qoute for AMG RIMS!

Fellow members: Is this the normail price for AMG rims and tires from the dealership? I think this is an outrage!

No. That's not normal, but I don't live in PR either... Those are premium retail prices... you should get together with is guy...

Outrageous... They are the only authorized dealer in PR but they should consider their customers better.

I got a set of AMG wheels with tires for $1200 in excellent conditions. Check ClasificadosOnline.com in a regular basis and you should be able to find a set for a reasonable price.

I agree with you Jaime. They are the only dealer in Puerto Rico so we have no others to compare\compete. They charged me $114 to change my wiper blades! I am a noob in MB matters but never the less they should treat their customers better! After all, the customer are the one that gives prestige to the brand! Sorry, I am just venting...

Looks like the correct list price to me. The dealership isn't craigs list, what did you expect?

A little high, but still inline with the stealership prices.
They do have a monopoly, unfortunately.

Why not go aftermarket?

Maybe list price if you have to replace a single damaged wheel but when you buy these wheel/tire combos as an upgrade item when ordering a car, it doesn't come out to those prices.

And if you think about it, they'll never be able to be competitive against aftermarket companies so why should they even try as they'll always be somebody willing to pay their prices.

Recommendation to the thread starter, buy your rims and possibly your tires elsewhere.

Thanks for all the replies so far. Interesting comments you guys have put out. Since I am in the lookout for the C63 rims, I might even consider ordering "replica ones" since their price is not going to be as steep as the dealer. Not my initial idea but it is a more"obtainable" one.

To me that says, "we don't really want your business"...because who in their right mind would pay that price!!! You may want to tell them that their price is RIDICULOUS as it seems they think you may be a sucka who'll pay that. I've heard other instances where dealers charge one person one price and way overcharge someone else. Apparently they think some of us have SUCKA written all over us... I'd tell them straight up it's a joke and thanks for nothing.

Get the parts yourself, you never buy parts from a dealer. Wipers? $114?

Try Autohauz.com. Look up your wipers with shipping, http://www.autohausaz.com/

You will be upset when you see the price.

Wow! $420 for all four! I am callling that compny today! Even with shipping it will get a way better price that the local PR stealership! Thanks for the link and the advice! By the way, I am up for Service B in 1300 miles. Thanks God I found how to change the oil adn oil filter at home in this fime forum. I will check the other fluids as well. I might get invoiced for $800 to perform an oil change and fluids inspection!
