Probably because your post was #7, and you neglected to read posts #5 and #6. They answer your questions. Deadline is when we get 10 I believe. You don't want to be left off like I was last time thats for sure. These don't come around that much..not to mention twice so close together.

C300 4Matic Sport, Alfa Romeo Spider (in HK)
I have a few questions, sorry if its really basic.
Do i need someone to remove the ECU for me? and putting it back in?
How long will the whole process take? from taking it out, shipping it and getting it back?
Would it work on a C300 4matic?
Any idea on 0-60 improvement?
Thanks in advance

I'll answer your questions so you don't get your *** kicked by the forum members for not using the search function. "All" your questions have been asked and answered several times...
No. It's very easy to remove your ECU (square silver thing on top of your motor - the hood latch is under your dash near the kick panel). There's a video for removal in another thread.
I can get the ECU out of the car in 4 or 5 minutes. You ship it overnight to them - they ship it overnight to you = 3 days.
Yes. Read the other Powerchip thread and their website.

Well I ended up going in yesterday and they treated me well and finished the job fast!
I asked about how to drive the car after and if I needed to do anything special. He told me it would take a little bit for the new codes to be learned and to drive it a bit more aggressive. I didn't notice too much of a change at first when I drove off like at 11am. But I drove the car all day and by then end of the night I was FLYING! j/k...but I do notice the increase. It's awesome on the freeway. It's much easier and less stress on the car it seems to pass up. It's kinda hard to drive speed limit now because it picks up so much easier. Well worth it IMO.
Above is a picture of my ride sitting there patiently while they took the heart out and were working on it.
Below are a couple of customers rides that were there. I was thinking if this shop is working on a caliber of vehicles like this, they must be trusted.
I recommend this!

Contact Powechipgroup about this directly and ask for Matt. I didn't dyno before the work and wouldn't want to spend the money for one now.
Maybe someone here has a dyno with your model after the chip? Lets wait and see if they chime in.

I want in. but what do i have to remove and how? what are the negatives about this?
so from their web site i read this
our Mercedes-Benz C300 contains the latest technology ECU that can be re-programmed through the on-board diagnostic port (OBD-II). Specialised software interfaces with your vehicle’s engine management system to extract the electronic code via serial download. Once the information has been read, Powerchip technicians apply the performance changes and upload the performance program back through the OBD-II port. Installation cannot be performed by the end user. Programming must occur at an Authorized Powerchip Office or at authorised Powerchip Platinum dealers. The programming takes approximately 2 hour's to complete.
In standard form, the C300 produces 228 hp and 222 lb.-ft.
Powerchip has a range of chips to suit your car, which can increase it's power to 246 hp, and it's torque to 239 lb.-ft.

he removed the computer from under the hood. you have to disconnect the air intake hoses and the big plastic cover in the middle of the engine. the computer sits in the middle right under that. and then all you have to do is unplug it. maybe a search will give you detailed step by step instructions
